Wine Unchartered, sorry you have had such a bad week. Hope she sleeps better tonight.

UnChartered · 08/06/2012 20:53

sorry, that reads back as a real 'pity me' post

Blush

worry is your DS in YR? then? DD is (5th birthday very soon) and i think (hope) she's missing the routine

moosemama · 08/06/2012 21:03

Worry, just noticed you said your ds is 4 in your post. Ignore me. Blush

PurplePidjin · 08/06/2012 21:06

Glad you made it over, Worry :)

This week I'm too tired for... Well i just am, ok? I can't wait to have a bump so i can get away with being unreasonable rather than having to keep a lid on it in case someone has me sectioned!

NoHaudinMaWheest · 08/06/2012 21:08

Hi all especially new people. Half term has messed up everyone's routine here too. Ds always finds it harder to deal with his OCD routines when he has no concrete incentives to get on (like not missing the school bus). Weather has been awful and Dh has been home all week recovering from an eye op. Ds missed a dental check up because his sleep is all over the place and I couldn't wake him up. However nothing majorly bad has happened this is just a moan! On the chocolate front, I found some chocolate from Halloween lurking by the back door today. Officially it was only just out of date and I even contemplated eating it (desparate!)

And BTW those who read my earlier post 17.00ish I had a hosp appt on Wednesday (endocrinologist) for me just for once. Arranged child care for 5 drove 60 mile round trip to find the bloody consultant was on holiday Angry Me being a big wuss sat there and just smiled sweetly. Yesterday 'phone call to say haematology appt for me next week cancelled guess what he's on bloody holiday.
Sorry for rant--- who else will listen.
Have a good w/e

Nice to meet you all. Smile

Moose - yes, even though it was UTTERLY expected and changes nothing... It does feel like a punch in the stomach. I think because for much of the time, you would never consider DS as anything that a typically average child, we were both (privately) holding onto some hope that our worries were utterly unjustified. As it's turned out, it's possibly (probably) worse than we'd actually thought.

We also have:
DSD1 (17), DSD2 (14) and DD3 (2).. oh, and DSD1BF (19). It's a fecking mad house here most of the time Wink

worrywortisworrying · 08/06/2012 21:15

2old - that is terrible Sad. Have they just rearranged the appts?

LollipopViolet · 08/06/2012 21:16

Well, had all the uni assessments last week, then my film was posted on the FB page of one of the national flying magazines, and it's grown in popularity in a big way!

Erm, what else?

Oh yeah, me and DBF celebrated 7 months together, which I can't believe. Feels like only yesterday I came onto a Friday night thread announcing he'd asked me out.

I've been preparing for our end of year show at uni. Opening night is a week today - eek! My film is on our screening showreel - double eek!

Tried a personal shopper in Debenhams today. I told her I wanted a plain, smart dress for said degree show opening night, she brought lots of dresses back that made me look like a 70's sofa. Big, brightly coloured flowery things...

Found the dress I wanted for £9 in a charity shop, it is beautiful :) It's also slightly designer (well, Trinny & Susannah...) and a lovely plum colour, and it makes me look ever so slim. I'm aiming to wear it for graduation too, and hopefully I'll be a stone lighter by that point :)

Still job hunting, need to send some emails next week I think.

worrywortisworrying · 08/06/2012 21:18

Hi Lollipop - I bought my wedding dress from a dress agency and it's fab! It's a Donna Karan Original and I'd never have been able to look at it new, never mind afford to buy it :-)

2old the sense that the patient's time is never important is so infuriating! Hope you manage to get them rearranged for sensible times for you.

moosemama · 08/06/2012 23:22

Just watched Extremely Loud, Incredibly close. Excellent film but not one to watch if you need cheering up. Sad Don't ask why I chose it, I have no common-sense whatsoever.

Have to say lots of critics said the boy's acting was rubbish, but I thought he did a really good job of portraying a young boy who has AS. Reminded me so much of ds1 in many ways.

StarlightMaJesty · 08/06/2012 23:35

I'm off to bed then!

Night all.

Have a good hol Wet!

moosemama · 08/06/2012 23:41
