Hope everyone has been well.

Just to let you know I've not gone AWOL but RL has been a bit too much recently and I just don't have any energy or fight left.

Anyway over to you and choccies are on the table.

that's not the way it's supposed to work though is it? I can't help but think if they did a bit more sen/sn training/awareness whilst doing teacher training it mightn't be so bad.

Evening all. :)

Im busy stressing and house hunting! Just popping in to say hi! :)

moosemama · 04/03/2011 21:38

Oh Star! I really hoped things were changing for the better for you and ds.

Is he moving to secondary in September? Has the school become an academy recently by any chance?

moosemama · 04/03/2011 21:38

Evening super, how's the house hunting going?

Blimey - you're way ahead of the game then! He's a very lucky boy having you for his mum. Smile

I always seem to be caught on the back foot. Sad

superfantastic · 04/03/2011 21:51

Rubbish to be honest but I may have found a lovely house out of budget...lets see if we can get it! ;)

Star I hope things improve for you it all sounds hellish. :(

Good luck super. Hope it all comes together smoothly for you.

I would seriously love to move house - unfortunately both ds1 and the bank manager say no!

EllenJane1 · 04/03/2011 22:02

Sorry Star. I got distracted by another thread. What school did you have his IEP review at? Pre-school? My DS2 is at the other end of primary. He went to a special nursery school but like your DS too high functioning for SS. He actually managed really well in MS with 20 hours 1 to 1. Never really made friends (apart from one boy for a while) but to be honest, he is happy that way. MS can work. I'm worried about secondary, but that's just being a parent isn't it, worrying.

Well in that case I hope things continue to improve! :)

DD only wants a new house near the pet shop so she can visit her animals! Grin

EllenJane1 · 04/03/2011 22:30

Yes, good luck Super.

@ Star. My DS has 15 hrs lesson time and 5 lunch times but in reality after infants his TA became the class TA and moved up the school with his class. He didn't need someone on his shoulder all the time and in fact that wouldn't have been good for him. There is always someone there who recognises issues and flashpoints and can pre empt them. Keep on top of things but be hopeful. It can work out.
