Go back to being respectful?
TBH I have been quite shocked how nasty, bitchy and how much back stabbing has been done this week in SN worlds!
We don't all agree and that's fine And no kne likes everyone and that's fine too. BUT we have always supported each other and understood the battles we all face in our life with our precious families and been there to hold each other up.
So please can we just treat each other with respect, we damn well don't get it anywhere else and try to stop the hair pulling and put the claws away?

If not I will come and see you all and bang your heads together! :)

here, here Lisa!!
I have needed so much support over this weekend and have had no where to turn, due to all this commotion!!!

tallwivglasses · 24/01/2011 00:34

giveme, can't fathom the ins-and-outs of all this but get some rest! and I hope it gets resolved x

daisy5678 · 24/01/2011 00:59

No point going to sleep yet as my son has just woken from a nightmare (which is apparently all my fault) and is rampaging round. I have to be very quiet and keep an ear/ eye out but will provoke confrontation if I speak. MN ideal for keeping me quiet but actually awake.

daisy5678 · 24/01/2011 00:59

Oh, and thanks.

I've been avoiding SN for a few days both because I've been on shift and because I couldn't tell troll from journo and felt I couldn't add anything useful (and I've a spelling snob and refuse to wade through anything that clearly hasn't been at least spell checked!! If you know you can't spell, type it in word first like all the dyslexic people I know!)

However, I am sticking around trying to ride it out, and fimly hoping our little island of sanity in a mad mad sn world goes back to it's lovely peaceful little self [hugs]

Al1son · 24/01/2011 10:32

I don't think DH would agree with you there lisa!

I have a day on my own today if DD2 stays at school. I've walked the dog and am now meant to be trying to get my head round the work I need to do to re-start my foundation degree. Guess what I'm doing instead Wink

(Picks up an assignment brief in a vain attempt to make a start)

Anyone suddenly get Aretha Franklins "Respect" running through their head?

Maybe its just me then Grin,i blame it on the lack of sleep and an ill child.

Al1son · 24/01/2011 10:50

It's amazing what you can blame on lack of sleep. Particularly lack of housework Grin.

Love that thread Lisa!

Must stop MNing and do some work.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 24/01/2011 10:52

what part Al1son? the part where i am queen or the part they moan about my spelling then get told off Blush

OP posts:
Al1son · 24/01/2011 10:59

I think your telling off was masterful Lisa. They shouldn't have been so rude!

As for you being the Queen? Well if the cap crown fits... Wink

Can I have another excuse to procrastinate be your lady in waiting pleeeease?

slightlycrumpled · 24/01/2011 11:00

I only dip into mumsnet nowadays, but the support on SN is always great, and the wealth of knowledge here is fab. I never go to any annual review without either posting for advice or researching through posts on here. Smile

We shouldn't underestimate how valuable this area is.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 24/01/2011 11:04

its bugs me, why do they think its acceptable to pick on peoples spelling if they cant help it :(
anyways that weekend is over, new start.
any good plans this week?

auntevil · 24/01/2011 11:10

Just read the thread too - LOL.
Lets hope the core posters stay because i have learnt so much from them.

Al1son · 24/01/2011 11:16

I've decided this week's going to be a good one. We have no appointments with CAMHS or any other HCPs which is a big bonus, both girls are at school and the housework isn't embarrassingly underdone. I'm going to stop MNing when most of the school day in over right now and then get ready for the next four days childminding (hope I spelt that all correctly!).

First of all I'm going to eat this Fry's chocolate cream.

Al1son · 24/01/2011 11:17

Posted too soon!

What about everyone else?

slightlycrumpled · 24/01/2011 11:19

Oooh frys chocolate cream, not had that for years! Enjoy.

Have quite a nice week planned this week, although am trying to arrange and emergency annual review for DS2 so it may not stay that way....

Hope everyone has a good Monday.

Al1son · 24/01/2011 11:22

It's all gone Sad
