With or without kids?

SookieD · 05/01/2011 00:06

Yep I'm in. Don't think all the Scottish folk come on too often so might need to bump.

Preferably any meet would involve alcohol and be without kids but obviously this is difficult for many. I'm easy....

glittery · 05/01/2011 06:58

i like your style! Grin

I can do kid (not sure about both of them) + daytime coffee - they are both big Starbucks/Costsa fans

glittery · 05/01/2011 09:51

what about we arrange two??

a during the day coffee/cake type one (with or without kids) and an alcohol induced (possibly with an overnight hotel stay?) kid free one!

of course you do realise anything we plan wil most likely get snowed off!!

Hiya

I'm in Alloa so anywhere central works for me as i can travel too.

As usual finding a time that works for everyone is tricky!

If I bring DS, it can really only be a Friday morning or the weekend but mornings would be a rush as would have to get back home in time for nursery. If weekend day, then DH can look after the baby and I can bring DS.

However, difficulty with this scenario is that while I am also big Starbucks/Costa fan, they are not terribly spacious so very difficult to get in with DS buggy. Do you think if we had a few folk who were coming, they would zone off an area for us? Off the top of my head, there is space outside the Starbucks in the mall at Buchanan Galleries. Downside is it's very noisy.

Willowthecat - week v weekend and location that's best for you?

Otherwise happy to set up an evening sans kids.

Where are all the other Scottish folk??

shaz298 · 05/01/2011 13:03

Hey Grace at least I have an excuse, my 'm' button doesn't work. Luuk knocked it off and Remy 'fixed' it!

Sookie you're not far from us then? Cool. x

glittery · 05/01/2011 13:27

Sookie as you know i am a fan of Dobbies!
Shaz Remy made a good job of it then? lol

im staying in a lodge cabin in middle of no where with my ramble!

willowthecat · 05/01/2011 13:50

Buchanan Galleries Starbucks is fine for me - DS1 in school til 3.30, DS2 in nursery til 11.45 but in theory can go almost any time. Weekends can get very busy in B Galleries unless first thing on Sunday when nearly everything except Starbucks is closed !

I also go to Dobbies quite a bit if you mean the Milngavie one.

glittery · 05/01/2011 13:52

oh i like any Dobbies to be honest but i am particularly fond of the Milngavie one...especially their mahoosive meringues! Grin

shaz298 · 05/01/2011 14:46

Dobbies does sound good. Is there one kinda in the middle though? Maybe livingston way or there abouts?

Will check it out.

Lisa of course you would count. But whe at Easter. We're off to Calvert on 7th April. xx

glittery · 05/01/2011 14:54

theres a Dobbies in Cumbernauld and one in Stirling?

OP posts:
shaz298 · 05/01/2011 16:14

Cumbernauld is probably kinda in the middle between the East and West. Would that be ok for other folks? x
