Well take your snow boots off.. The fire is on and the drinks are on the table.

Took ds to the gp today ( just a minor thing).. But I think the GP had forgotten he has asd.. Until whilst telling ds how many times a day he needs to take his antibiotic.. Ds starts telling the DR all about the medical reference books on the shelf.. And how his brother has the same copy of greys anatomy .. cue monologue and DR asking if Ds had listen to what he said and then looking at me with a ' whoops I forgot' expression on his face :o

he was very good with ds and noticable changed the way he spoke to ds making things really clear for him.

Just made me giggle! Oh and now ds wants those little display body bits and bones for his bedroom!

No snow here, but then no-one stepped out the door yesterday, our germy little ds missed pre-school on wed due to the sick bug going round, he was fine thurs, but I spent yesterday not even able to keep water down,,, will spare the details... Biscuit

However everything appears to be staying where it should today, hurrah, (apart from ds who should be in bed, but has been awake since 4.30!!!

Ah well, a good week in general, and I'm off to the seaside next weekend, just me, Grin Grin Grin

FanjoForTheMincePies · 27/11/2010 09:45

Loads of snow here and it means we can't do anything, DD doesn't like it, the roads are awful and I'm stressing about work next week as my mum might not get here to watch DD.

Does anyone want it?

purplepidjrobin · 27/11/2010 11:51

Ooh, SignandSayCarols, the beach in the snow/thunderstorm is the best ever!! Take a camera (and have a look on the previous page to see if your seasid hol is anywhere near me, I'd love to do my first MN meet up)

Fanjo, I'll have it! I walk to work, and the residents would love it, so not so much of a prob here Grin

Will Shipley's have a lorry coming this way soon?

signandsingcarols · 27/11/2010 12:16

oo oo pidgrobin would love to meet up, Im off to ilfracombe, (I know thats gonna be west of you, but am heading back into wilts on Sat, any good for you?)

lovely little hotel in ilfracombe, has been my bolt hole for last few years, oh my goodness just realised I have been going to the town for 10 years, (pre dh and ds)eek! am officially old fart! Blush.

They feed me huge cooked brekkie, give me my fav room, and then leave me alone.(and it's cheap, Wink I am deliciously selfish for a night or two, (having packed dh and ds off to MiL). Am smiling at the thought! Grin

PS don't mean to rub salt (Or should that be SLT?) in people's wounds, as I know lots of you don't get away at all... Sad

Ready to give away our snow, too. The amount on the ground has doubled, since last night. Got out to stock up on food, early this morning, but it's coming down thick and fast. Some poor guy has just had to abandon his car outside our house. Had to grab DS1 an extra pair od wellies in Sainsburys because his snow boots were still all wet inside from him insisting on ploughing through every bit of deep snow he could find on the way home, yesterday.
