Well take your snow boots off.. The fire is on and the drinks are on the table.

Took ds to the gp today ( just a minor thing).. But I think the GP had forgotten he has asd.. Until whilst telling ds how many times a day he needs to take his antibiotic.. Ds starts telling the DR all about the medical reference books on the shelf.. And how his brother has the same copy of greys anatomy .. cue monologue and DR asking if Ds had listen to what he said and then looking at me with a ' whoops I forgot' expression on his face :o

he was very good with ds and noticable changed the way he spoke to ds making things really clear for him.

Just made me giggle! Oh and now ds wants those little display body bits and bones for his bedroom!

Quite a good week here, Dd3 swam 400 metres on wednesday, very proud. The OT report came stating that Dd3's physical skills are below average in many areas but no actual advice Hmm, may need a phone call.

I am knackered, just had bangers and mash and am not moving out of the house again tonight even though I have eaten all the chocolate. Sad.

Need to think of something to do with Dd3 tomorrow because Dd1 is taking Dd2 out again and leaving Dd3 here on her own with me again. If anyone has any ideas I would be glad of them.

intothewest · 26/11/2010 18:47

Northernsky-I'm trying out that theory now-yup it works..slurp...

SauvignonBlanche · 26/11/2010 18:56

I left work on time as it was snowing heavily, by the time I got home there wasn't a flake! DD was impressed that I brought her some home on the car and made a mini snowman.
DS had the OT appointment that we'd waited 2 years for and she said his handwriting was fine. Hmm
Presumably she's fluent in Mandarin. Wink

Evening ladies. We have had just over a foot of snow fall over the past few days. DS2is loving it and Iits been hard work trying not to let him eat it Hmm. He has an infection in his toe from a mega massive blister and is on antibiotics, so much fun getting him to swallow them, easier than medicine though, which he would vomit out.

I am having some wine tonight! Been a long week.

chocolatespread · 26/11/2010 19:15

Hello, hope I'm not gatecrashing. I'm really disappointed with the snowfall. I haven't grown up yet, so I likeit when there are huge amounts of it - so long as it doesn't last too long.

Aching for DH to arrive home now. It's been a long day, and DS2 was sent home at lunch time because they couldn't manage his behaviour. Can't wait to get to the chilling part of the day.

devientenigma · 26/11/2010 19:19

yeah we have about a foot of snow, many snowmen, snowball fights etc etc.
star what would my christmas name be??
Sorry I'm not very talkative......ill x

bigcar · 26/11/2010 19:20

dh saw an old faded note stuck in someones window by the door on the way home, it said, no cold callers, dh reckoned they're in for a quiet weekend then! Even the kids gave him the Hmm look Grin

LollipopViolet · 26/11/2010 19:31

Aaah, have eaten and watched a DVD so all is well with my world now. Getting ready for another hockey game tomorrow, but have to crack on and finish an essay due in next Monday. Hoping to get it done before Thursday, my birthday.

Just ready for a break from the non-stop pressure of uni really :)

bigcar · 26/11/2010 19:57

Happy birthday for Thursday, Lolli!

Its lovely to hear everyone's positive news Grin

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand

I got snowed on!! As I live pretty much exactly South Central England, we rarely get anything except drizzle and murk, but I walked home from work at 8 in a faint mist of fairy dust. Not that I'm a big kid or anything...

We have our Christmas Fete tomorrow, with Santa in a grotto and all the works. I will be taking piano and keyboard in so I can sing chrissie carols. I don't know if I want 6" snow to settle to make it magic (and make sure there's no audience Wink) or no snow at all so I can drive safely. Carrying an electric piano half a mile in snow could be, erm, interesting Hmm

5inthebed · 26/11/2010 20:50

Happy birthday for Thursday LPV Smile

It was DS3's birthday on Wednesday, he is 2, so officially a toddler :(

It is the SN toy library Christmas party next weekend, really looking forward to it as the santa there is so realistic, I'm pretty sure he is the real one!

bigcar · 26/11/2010 21:10

dd3, 4.7 doesn't get christmas at all, doesn't really get presents either, loves all the chocolate we have though Smile and usually learns where the tin is pretty quickly!

bigcar · 26/11/2010 21:36

well dd2 and ds1 have made it back from their hike Smile and have had a good time! Just moaning they're hungry now.

purplepidjrobin · 26/11/2010 22:04

Im so tired i can't be arsed to drink wine!! help!!!

devientenigma · 26/11/2010 22:07

I can't wait for Christmas this year, it's the first year my ds seems to be getting that tad bit excited at the prospect of santa and has even asked for a rocket!! He's nearly 10 btw.
Good name star
So I take it you are gonna sit on santa's knee then 5 ?
loving the fairy dust purple sounds magical, not like the blizzard I have just been out in picking ds up from his carers lol

purplepidjrobin · 26/11/2010 22:11

I'm half a mile from the sea and right at the eastern edge of the gulf stream (the fing wot keeps Cornwall hot Hmm) so snow is full-on rare! Can't wait to make a snowman with the residents, and chuck snowballs at them bwah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

TheArsenicCupCake · 26/11/2010 22:17

I think at this juncture I get to say that I am in fact mrs clause! I am marriedto Santa .. So ner ner ner na ner!

So I get to sit on his lap anytime I want :)

( DH has taken over from my dad in the duties ... Both are so good that none of our dc's have ever cottoned on!)

devientenigma · 26/11/2010 22:18

hope it keeps snowing for you and lays most importantly then, we have about a foot of snow, we have huge snowmen and have had plenty of snowball fights, sorry can't describe where I am as good as you, so I am in the north East of england in North Tyneside lol

5inthebed · 26/11/2010 22:38

Of course DE! I have been a good girl this year!

I am yet to build a snowman with the DC. DS1 got a bit upset today as wanted to have a snowball fight with DS2, but DS2 just kept on getting upset whener he snow hit him Sad

Ds2 sort of gets Santa, he knows he brings presents to good boys and girls anyway. However, he keeps saying he wants everything that is advertised, even Always Ultras [hm]

fightingthezombies · 26/11/2010 23:43

Hi all - back from the shops. Bit of a nightmare with the crowds and I didn't end up getting much. Ds with us though and it's hard work when he keeps having to touch all and sundry.
Star - you must have missed my brief name-change last Friday - (Fartingthebrusselsprouts). It was a bit of a mouthful though and I like some of your suggestions. Have until Weds to ponder on it.
5inthe - lol at Always Ultras.

devientenigma · 26/11/2010 23:44

haha, love it, you should get him them to see what he wants to do lol, mind I had to think for a while before I realised what always ultras were!!Blush
With the excitement of snow and is santa coming B has been to school, 2 days in a row!! hope it continues. Glad youv'e been good girl at least you will be able to tell santa Wink

fightingthezombies · 26/11/2010 23:44

Forgot to say - Happy B'day to you Lolli for Thursday.
