well after my moaning about how ick and shattered I was feeling thread last night.. And being up and down with an a rather coldy dd all night.. And then this morning ds2 seemed to be coming out with it...
Dh called work, has taken the day off.. Done the school run with ds1 and dd ( who has perked up and wanted to go to school).. Told me to stay in bed, has run about fetching drinks and capol for ds2.. And is on call if school ring to pick dd up.

He has rescheduled what I was supposed to be doing and has been a bit fabby!

So while he's at it.. Anyone need a hand? .. He makes a good cuppa and is very good with asd dc's

Does he do coffee and painting lol

Spinkle · 23/09/2010 09:08

Ooooh, you are a lucky girl.

Enjoy the rest. You deserve it Smile

TheArsenicCupCake · 23/09/2010 09:10

Oh he does make a lovely real coffee .. Although the painting is my job! not so hot at DIY type things.. But he does touch type at about 70/80 wpm... Which comes in handy for all the paperwork associated with SN :o

I'll send him over!

Are you feeling any better? hows your head today?

ouryve · 23/09/2010 12:28

My loo needs cleaning and I'm hormonal, full of cold and my back's killing me.

I'll pay him in cake.

ouryve · 23/09/2010 12:30

Just to add that my DH is normally pretty good at these things, but has been flat out at work for a few months now. I'm starting to forget what he looks like.

TheArsenicCupCake · 23/09/2010 12:41

:o he said he works for peanuts normally.. So cake is an improvement!

( head is still there ewww .. But I have had a long hot shower and I've moved to the sofa.. i normally do a bit of running .. But I'm knackered just coming down the stairs!)

am sending him over do make teas and coffees and to go through paperwork piles... He does however refuse to clean bathrooms :o

TheArsenicCupCake · 23/09/2010 13:22

Clone him quick - sell the clones - make your money and then both sit back and have teas made and paperwork done for you. And woolytree - a DH that loves cleaning - could be cloneworthy too. Enjoy spending some time watching him clean with him now. Grin

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 23/09/2010 17:42

IM lucky with mine too, all this week he has woken me as late as possible with a cup of tea and come down to find lunches made, kids dressed and breakfast done, all thats left for me is to do hair Grin

But can you still send me your DH? I need loads fo forms filled out LOL

TheArsenicCupCake · 23/09/2010 18:15

Really nice to have a thread to say what good stuff dh does, (as am prone to complain about him.) ds woke up last night and dh went in and spent the night on his floor, I didn't even stir. Blush.

TheArsenicCupCake · 23/09/2010 18:31

Signandsay that's lovely!

I know, he occasionally says 'I am a crap dad' because there is lots he can't do cos of his own disabilities, but he was wriggling on the sofa with pride when I said I had posted what he had done for all the other mums to know. I must remember to recognise what he does more....

Are you feeling any better ?

TheArsenicCupCake · 23/09/2010 18:59

I feel rested.. Not exactly better tbh... But it's a good start.

It is good to remember the good bits our dhs and dp's do.. It can be soooo easy to forget amongst everything.

:) glad your dh is wiggling with pride.. So he should.. He won't be a crap dad because of his own disabilities at all! A crap dad wouldn't even make a comment about being a crap dad... Only good dads do that.

I agree, have told him, think the way that I end up doing the appointments and battles means I forget to recognise what he does... (and he is such a great soft lovely, ) he said in the car today ' I am running out of people to tell that ds recognised numbers 1 to 5'
sounds like he has been acosting people at bus stops since ds revealed this new skill last week Smile

Hope the restfulness continues...

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/09/2010 19:27

Is he good at getting up during the night with infuriatingly poor-sleeping children? Grin

TheArsenicCupCake · 23/09/2010 19:40

Hmmmmm that is debatable.. He would say yes.. And considering the amount of years we have been together with poor sleeping children .. You would think so.....

However....I beg to differ :o

( have to give him his due.. Two small non sleeping ds's didn't put him off me when we first got together.. And.. I was quite amaized by him.. And then I realised a few years later that he has an off switch for his hearing as soon as he gets into bed)

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/09/2010 19:43

My DH is actually really good at getting up...to a point, then he gets REALLY GROUCHY.

TheArsenicCupCake · 23/09/2010 19:47

:o

woolytree · 23/09/2010 20:47

Sorry I had to dash off earlier..DH rang from his work meeting. Not as scary as I thought, hes given a months notice but they would like him to stay on until he has another job...and will help with contacts and a glowing reference! :)

Funnily enough DH is a 'selective cleaner' now I think about it Hmm he cleans up kids, food mess, irons, cooks, hoovers but can quite easily trash the kitchen by using every pot and leaving all the doors open cooking, wouldnt pick up clutter, put the washing on or do the dishwasher unless I asked him to. Grin I think hed make a good slave butler! :)

Glad you rested Arsenic!!! :)
