Names for half desi-half English baby girl?

Want something pronounceable but still recognisable as half brown. Any ideas? x

Thinking of the Indian girls from where I work, we have Serena, Kareena, Kiara and I know a Jaina.

I also know Jasintha.

Are you the English half? The term Desi is so broad, it negates relevant cultural and religious factors. Where exactly does their Asian half come from? Are they Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, atheist?

Nope I'm the "desi" half; I used that term to be inclusive, but I'm Indian/Hindu if that helps :-) x

I believe Anita is an Indian name that has been used frequently as an English name. I may be wrong and am happy to be corrected.

Having googled it - yes Anita is a Hindu girl's name.

My DNeices who are half Indian/half British are called Shreya and Meera. Lovely names IMO.

So many beautiful Indian girls names!

I personally love the name Roshanara, she was one of the Moghul Sultan's daughter's names - could be the daughter of the guy who built Taj Mahal but I might be wrong in that, would need to Google it but it's a name commonly used in Bangladesh now so probably not the vibe you are after.

My son's very trendy and very beautiful Indian friend is called Aaliya and that double AA sound e.g Aanya translates very well into both cultures.
