Going back to group and have never stuck at it, this time? Right?

Hello

Just that really. I am a full time carer to my 2 children. I am always with them as the main carer and after caring for them all day and night I just have neglected myself. I have 3 stone to lose. My work load at home is heavy, as are my stress levels.

I have tried sw a few times but I always leave fast as I fail at the plan, maybe with the new changes to the plan I can make it work... I just stress eat. Its horrible, my eldest has ARFID on top of her pda autism and the more she knocks food back and cant cope with basic life the more I grab sweets.

I really need support. I know I need a mindset shift too.

I used to be so good with my diet then I became a mum and the diagnoses came and its all just fallen apart for me.

I am also type 2 diabetic and supposed to be dealing with it with my diet still after putting it into remission years ago, as to avoid the meds but I fell back on it and my HBA1C rose again... ah I hate the stress eating thing...

I'm sorry to read you're having a hard time but I don't know what sw is, so don't know what you are talking about.

Also don't know what ARFID and pda are....

sw is slimming world. PDA is an autism profile, stands for pathological demand avoidance. ARFID is avoidant restrictive food intake disorder.

Have you thought about weight loss injections? More expensive, but may be more effective if you can’t stick to SW anyway.

Thanks for explaining! Sorry for being dim. Good luck - keep going to the meetings even if you feel like you're failing. The thing is not to give up when you have a few bad days. Just brush yourself and keep going!!! It will work!

Honestly, I would consider weight loss tablets. SW isn't it. It has so many rejoiners. There is a reason for that.

I think that since the post was in the Slimming World forum was a clue as to what SW stands for!

I thought as they changed the plan a bit that it may be more doable to get the weight off. I like to eat wholefoods so I thought it would be a good lifestyle change, and I just can not seem to get the weight off due to too much snacking due to the stress. Even if I get it off and it sets me on a better path looking after my diet going forward.
