Starting again today - anyone else?

I've been faffing around for the last few weeks, getting nowhere fast, but today I am starting again. I've got a gym induction booked for this afternoon so today is the day I start looking after myself again after almost five years of neglect.

I've not weighed as AF is due and I can't face it right now, but I know roughly where I am and where I want to be. It's about two stone anyway, give or take a few lbs.

I'm having Saturday off as I have a rare child-free day/night out that has been planned for ages, but rather than put it off til after that I think it's best if I get on it now.

Today's plan:
B: berries, fat free Greek yogurt
L: Jacket potato, tuna and cottage cheese, salad
D: Slow cooked chicken thighs in tinned toms and loads of random fridge veg, rice, cheese (HeA)
S: Options (2), 175ml full fat milk (6), 2 x Alpen bars (Heb)

First time I have managed a full seven days on plan in forever. Half wishing I'd not asked DH to hide the scales as I'd love to know how I'm doing. Oh well, if I stick to it for a month, I should be significantly lighter, right?

Today's plan is:

B: Fruit and yoghurt
L: Beef, salad, mustard (0.5)
D: Slow cooker chicken thighs, tomato sauce, rice, cheese (HeA)
S: Alpen bars x 2 (HeB) options (2) milk (3.5) wafer (5)

Averaged 11 syns a day for the last week. Hoping that's not too high. I don't feel any slimmer after a week TBH, but without the scales I've no idea how I'm doing. Roll on October 1, when I can weigh AND drink wine Grin Wine

Missy and Jump, welcome. This thread is just me prattling on to myself and trying to keep on track so any support is very welcome.

How much are you both hoping to lose? My aim is two stone by the time I turn 40 next summer Shock

Afternoon, my weigh in wasn't too bad, haven't been since may and have only put on 7.5lbs, I am happy with that, just been Iceland for the freezer meals, will be handy when i finish work in the evenings.

Missymoomoo197936 · 07/09/2015 13:58

Hi Chester, I started at 11.10, wanted to get to 10 stones, my last weigh in in may I got to 10,8, only 8lbs away from target, but due to financial reasons had to stop, so I'm just over a stone till target this time, I can also help with syns extra so feel free to ask x

Hi - sorry I haven't been on. How are you all doing?
Weekend was ok, I stuck to plan cooked a lovely roast, spag bol and really enjoyed branflakes, fruit, yoghurt and milk for breakfast. I've made a weeks worth of mason jar salads to take to work with me for lunch full of veg, some pasta and chicken so I'm feeling positive ?? First weigh in is on Wednesday and I haven't weighed myself at home. I've decided not to as I think I'll stick to the plan better that way. Plus I would normally weigh myself in the nude at home which obviously isn't what happens as group!!

ChesterDrawers · 08/09/2015 07:00

Fucked up big time last night. I have a bit of a binge problem and it reared its ugly head again, to the tune of about 50 syns Blush. The only saavonghraceis I didn't wash it all down with booze, so my dry month continues - and I was tempted!

Really going to try and get back on it today as this would normally signal a crash of epic proportions.

So the plan is:
B: Fruit and yogurt
L: cottage cheese and ham salad
D: chicken casserole, rice, cheese (HeA)
S: 2 x alpen, something nice with my syns

DH away so no chance of gym.

Hope everyone else has a good day.

You might surprise yourself! The great thing about sw is that every day is a new day.

Can I join in? I'm on week 3, started at 12st9 Blush, cannot believe how much I weight. I had two terrible long weekends after joining, first laden with bacon, egg and sausage rolls and eclairs - lost 3lbs that week, and the second at a family do with oodles of lovely food and puddings, and gallons of fizz. Lost 2lbs that week. You could have knocked me down with a feather when I saw I hadn't put weight on.

I've been pretty 'good 'this week - even skipped fish and chips to have a pasta pesto salad with lots of spinach and tomato. What's the bets I stay the same or put on, on Wednesday!??

Today I'm planning to have an omelette for breakfast with a little hea cheese and lots of cooked tomato. Lunch will be coronation chicken (made with 50/50 ff yog and light mayo plus lots of spices) with spinach, cucumbers and tomatoes.

Dinner is likely to be either Chilli with Turkey mince and cauliflower cheese or steak with dry roast veg.

thequickbrownfox · 08/09/2015 07:20

How much I weighed

Missymoomoo197936 · 08/09/2015 07:34

I do remember a couple of times I'd had a MacDonald's and wine and also lost, I will be having a treat day on a Saturday which will be wine to watch with xfactor.

ChesterDrawers · 08/09/2015 10:13

Well I'm not weighing til Oct 1 so lots of time to recover. Just need to make sure that's not an excuse for going off track again.

In the end I had a 'fry' up for breakfast - Linda McCartney sausage, tomato, mushrooms, two eggs and ham cooked in the oven til crispy - to try and fend off any post-binge crash. I've also bought some Bovril to work with me so I can have something savoury to kill any sugar cravings.

Well done skipping fish and chips Fox, that takes some willpower! Good luck for tomorrow.

Plan today is:-

B = cornflakes and semi skimmed milk
L = No idea - probably Tuna salad
D = Grilled chilli halloumi with salad and sweet chilli sauce
S = Apples

Must stay focused.

Hope everyone is having a good day so far?

Missymoomoo197936 · 08/09/2015 14:16

Doing well so far hells.

B-2 boiled eggs with 2 slices of wholemeal toast.
L-Jacket potato with salad and my hea cheese.
D- Is going to be chicken stir fry with rice and loads of speed food.

Have you seen the crumpet thins? 2.5 syns each so will be having a couple for supper.

ChesterDrawers · 09/09/2015 08:17

Messed up again yesterday - what is wrong with me? Food wise was fine, then I had to go to the Co-op for milk and came out with a bag of bonbons which I ate in one go. So pissed off with myself.

So here we go again...

B: fruit and yogurt
L: something eggy? Omelette perhaps? (HeA)
D: Linda McCrtney sausages, mash , brocolli, gravy (2)
S: Alpen bars (HeB) something else?

Going for a run after I drop DS at school as WFH today so no chance to make it to the gym.

hellsbellsmelons · 09/09/2015 08:34

I hear ya!
I had an egg mayo sandwich for lunch. Had such a craving.
Today probably won't be good

B = cornflakes and semi-skimmed milk
L = Pub lunch with friends - OH DEAR! Must try to make healthy choices
D = Depending on what I have for lunch will determine this. Hopefully it will just be picky bits, like olives.

Back on it tomorrow!
Won't make it to weigh in this week either which doesn't help with the focus.

Hope today goes well for everyone!

Missymoomoo197936 · 09/09/2015 10:31

I do find not going weigh in makes me totally lose focus.

B-2 poached eggs, baked beans and 2 wholemeal toast, heb.
L- No idea
D-Salmon with new potatoes and frozen microwave veg.

Going to have 2 babybels for my hea.

hellsbellsmelons · 09/09/2015 12:01

Pub lunch cancelled - so should be able to be good today now!
Yeah.... I hope....

obsessedlex · 09/09/2015 20:18

Hi
Well just back from my first weigh in and my first half stone award!! Chuffed to bits and totally shocked!
How have you all done ?

Missymoomoo197936 · 10/09/2015 07:19

Wow well done obsessed, feels amazing doesn't it?

Still on track, had a couple of wines last night to celebrate getting an interview for a permanent position at work but I've synned them, goingto change my drink to vodka I think, smirnoff is 2 and a half syns for 25 ml.

No idea what I'm having to day breakfast wise, think I might just have a yoghurt for now, jacket potato for lunch and omelette for tea with slimming world chips. Have a good day everyone.

thequickbrownfox · 10/09/2015 07:46

Just half a pound off for me last night which was a tiny bit disappointing but not wholly unexpected!

Missymoomoo197936 · 10/09/2015 08:07

Better than nothing thequick Smile

hellsbellsmelons · 10/09/2015 08:32

Missymoomoo197936 · 14/09/2015 06:41
