Darquesse · 12/08/2014 20:34

After a quick google I think I may have over synned the gravy but better over synned than under eh.

iklboo · 12/08/2014 21:29

Definitely! I'd rather over estimate than 'Ivy BeenSoGood' (have you read that? It's really good).

Darquesse · 13/08/2014 13:13

I've not read it, will go and have a google.

OP posts:
EverythingIsAwesome · 16/08/2014 15:34

Sure, it was a tub of passata, 2 cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon mustard powder, 2 tablespoons balsamic, 2 tablespoons worcester sauce, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. Mix together, and pour over a pork joint, along with sliced onions & sliced peppers in a slow cooker, and I put it on for 8 hour on low.

EverythingIsAwesome · 16/08/2014 15:37

B - banana pancakes (not strictly allowed, I know!)

L - baked potato with cheese & beans (hea)

S - 2 x cherry bakewell Alpen light bars (love them!) (heb)

D - Slow cooker brisket with turnip, carrots, onions, boiled baby potatoes.

Still have all my syns to have this evening.

EverythingIsAwesome · 16/08/2014 15:37

There was a salad with lunch, forgot to add that!

EverythingIsAwesome · 16/08/2014 15:39

How long have you been doing SW for, and what have your results been? This is my 1st week, though I did do it years ago. I weigh in on Monday :)

Darquesse · 16/08/2014 16:24

Thanks for the recipe, i think I will give that a go in the week.

I have just rejoined on Thursday, I did it earlier this year and lost a stone, was 1.5lb away from target but just lost focus and started yo yo ing the same 3lb on an off.

Are you feeling confident for weigh in?

Todays food -

Scan bran (heaB), milk (heaA) and strawberries

bacon, beans, egg, ww sausages and mushrooms - 1 syn for sausages.

Grapes

Dinner will be jacket potato with a salad, not sure on the topping yet though because I think we are out of low fat mayo.

Gonna have a mini nobbly bobbly later for 6 syns

OP posts:
EverythingIsAwesome · 16/08/2014 20:18

Used my syns on a packet of Asda cheese curls (4 syns), 2 slices of wholemeal toast (6 syns, from a small loaf) and a smear of peanut butter on them (no idea of syns)

Darquesse · 16/08/2014 22:09

Hmmm peanut butter on toast, yum!

I had some leftover chilli in my spud (from the freezer) it was actually pretty nice!

Doing a roast tomorrow and having bisto with it Sad because homemade gravy is off the syn chart. I will be devastated.

citruslemon · 17/08/2014 10:10

Hi. Could you tell what what the HEA list contains and what raw considered HEB? Thanks

citruslemon · 17/08/2014 10:18

Also am confused by whether to count an ingredient as a HEA/HEB.

see here: www.slimmingeats.com/blog/#.U_ByZdq9KSP
She states that the Cauliflower Garden Flatbread is 1 HEA and 1 syn. But the recipe contains cheese so 4 HEAs and coconut flour which is 3.5 syns. So do I add it all up so the recipe is 5 HEAs and 4.5 syns?

Darquesse · 17/08/2014 10:19

Hi Citrus, I will try to find a link for you but basically healthy a is milk/cheese and healthy b is fibre so cereals and bread.

OP posts:
Darquesse · 17/08/2014 10:37

I cant find a list but i think I use these
A choices
300mls of the one milk or 250mls of semi skimmed or 30gs of cheese

B Choices

2 alpen light bars
2 weetabix
35g of plain porridge oats
35g of special K granola
2 slices from a 400g brown loaf
5 scan bran.

for that recipe you do use 4/5 healthy As but that is for the whole recipe, each portion would then be 1 healthy extra

OP posts:
citruslemon · 17/08/2014 10:52

Thank you so much, yes that brung each portion makes logical sense now!

Have got SW magazine, going to food plan and then go shopping Monday morning so just wanted to make sure I'd got it all right in my head first! Will post update - can't do this by myself! Thanks.
