1 packet options, 1 beaten egg and a little sweetener, whisk all together and pop in microwave for 1min.

Apparently.

I've never had a chocolate omelette before. Not keen to have one ever again, to be honest.

If anyone has tried this where am I going wrong!?

Is there no flour? I would expect flour...

AntoinetteCosway · 24/01/2014 18:42

Yes-surely it needs flour...

SamHamwidge · 24/01/2014 18:42

Apparently not.

Ok according to google you are meant to whisk the egg first, then fold in the other ingredients... still the reviews mention tasting/looking like chocolate omelette.

Sounds horrible.

SamHamwidge · 24/01/2014 18:44

If you Google it this are the ingredients (or you can use cocoa, not sure if that makes a difference) and full of people waxing lyrical about how great it is.

It isn't.

GoofyIsACow · 24/01/2014 18:44

Sounds truly hideous!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 24/01/2014 18:44

So that would be

Sweetner - from the Options.
Egg
More Sweetner.

Fucking horrible.

This is why diets are shit, because they make you eat non-food that just leaves you hungrier than ever when it is so revolting.

Yes surely flour??

RestingActress · 24/01/2014 18:44

Just watched the youtube video for that, looks good, not like omelette though

LaurieFairyCake · 24/01/2014 18:46

Yuk

I'd rather be er..... fat Grin

RubberDuck · 24/01/2014 18:47

No, no you're doing it wrong.

4tbsp flour
4tbsp sugar
2tbsp cocoa (I use cadbury drinking choc - NOT the instant drink kind)
1 egg
3 tbsp milk
3 tbsp oil (although I use melted butter)
3 tbsp choc chips (optional)
a splash of vanilla extract
a very large mug (or pudding basin :D)

Add dry ingredients to the mug/basin and mix well. Add egg and mix. Pour in milk and oil (or butter) and mix again. Add choc chips if using and vanilla extract. Mix.

Nuke for 3 mins at 1000W. Leave to stand a bit so it cools.

RubberDuck · 24/01/2014 18:48

Oh wait, I've just realised you're talking slimming world - no my version isn't that slimming, but it tastes MUCH nicer :D :D :D

LaurieFairyCake · 24/01/2014 18:48

Rubber

That's actual cake - tasty shit. Not slimming world diet 'cake'.

RubberDuck · 24/01/2014 18:51

Yeah, I think diet 'cake' would just make me sad :(

2kidsintow · 24/01/2014 18:52

Do you have to separate the egg, whip up the white, then fold the rest in? Then it's like a low fat souffle thing.

RubberDuck · 24/01/2014 18:53

Mind you, I have just engineered all my calories and macros for the day to budget in two glasses of wine for this evening. I'm not entirely sure that I have this diet stuff sussed...

SamHamwidge · 24/01/2014 18:55

I agree - will stop trying to fake it and just have a small bar of chocolate. Lesson learnt!

TimeToPassGo · 24/01/2014 18:59

That sounds like the worst 'treat' ever invented! :o

Headlikeafuckingorange · 24/01/2014 19:05

There's an eggy Swiss roll thing too. My colleague was raving about it but it's vile. I would rather go without cake than eat something like that!

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 24/01/2014 19:23

I'm on SW too. When I saw this cake in a cup recipe I was Grin

I made it, tasted it and was Sad

Basically a chocolate omelette. Boo.

But I do like the SW plan. I'm about to make pasta with a tomato, feta cheese and sweetcorn sauce. I can have as much as I want. Back to Grin

BabyMummy29 · 24/01/2014 19:27

Sounds vile. I'm doing slimming world but haven't come across this - won't bother with it by this description

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 24/01/2014 19:35

Advisable!

SW mouse is nice.

Quark, natural yoghurt, sweetener and options any flavour. Whisk together and leave to chill in fridge. Makes a chocolaty yoghurt, mouse thing.

acsec · 24/01/2014 19:39

HappyGoLuckyGirl SW mousse is minging! and this cake in a cup sounds rank!

I've been on SW forever and I just eat my syns when I want them or have a HiFi bar/ Alpen light or a Shape 0% yogurt if I don't want to use my syns.

LaurieFairyCake · 24/01/2014 20:27

Lol at SW mouse and not mousse Wink

Poor wee mice

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 24/01/2014 23:54

God damn.

Well, you know Laurie, the tails just give it that something extra
