1 packet options, 1 beaten egg and a little sweetener, whisk all together and pop in microwave for 1min.

Apparently.

I've never had a chocolate omelette before. Not keen to have one ever again, to be honest.

If anyone has tried this where am I going wrong!?

Foodie maybe you put in too much yog?

Huff - they are lovely and do taste like a moist muffin :)

Funny I made the weetabix muffins today and didn't really like them. Thought they tasted just like weetabix.

I know that sounds a bit obvious but was hoping they would be more cake like. Mine were a bit soggy I think.

ive made it and thought it was a good quick choc fix for 1 syn

I did cake in a cup before - some use options sachet instead

1tbsp cocoa
3tbsp sweetener
1 egg

Whisk egg till light & fluffy.
Add sweetener & cocoa & fold into egg.
Then it should look like cake mix.
Now whisk again for 1min.
Pour into a cup & microwave for 1 minute.
Turn out & serve immediately

i do love the weetabix muffins

i made weetabix muffins today - scrummy

crush 2 weetabix (b)
mix in 2 eggs, yog, tbsp sweetener

cake cases/muffin trays 20mins 180 - makes 6 and just like a moist muffin

i did vanilla but may try with strawberry/chocolate ml

makes 6 big ones so either have as your b or syn muffin 1 syn each

Apparently, according to the people in my class that have tried it, it only works if you whisk it for ages and ten get it in the microwave in less than approx 5 seconds.

Did you all use Options? I used cocoa and it was yum.
Had it again last night and it really feels like chocolate pudding, fills me up and kills cravings!
My best Sw discovery so far.

I've tried this but used less sweetener, it was fecking hideous.

I have also made the 1/2 sun cake/roulade and the first time it actually turned out really nice, the second it seemed very eggy, so I assumed I messed it up.

I made mine with cocoa. It was delicious. Not eggy at all. Very cake like.
Feel like having one every day now!

HappyGoLuckyGirl SW mousse is minging! and this cake in a cup sounds rank!

I've been on SW forever and I just eat my syns when I want them or have a HiFi bar/ Alpen light or a Shape 0% yogurt if I don't want to use my syns.

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 24/01/2014 19:35

Advisable!

SW mouse is nice.

Quark, natural yoghurt, sweetener and options any flavour. Whisk together and leave to chill in fridge. Makes a chocolaty yoghurt, mouse thing.

Sounds vile. I'm doing slimming world but haven't come across this - won't bother with it by this description

I'm on SW too. When I saw this cake in a cup recipe I was Grin

I made it, tasted it and was Sad

Basically a chocolate omelette. Boo.

But I do like the SW plan. I'm about to make pasta with a tomato, feta cheese and sweetcorn sauce. I can have as much as I want. Back to Grin

There's an eggy Swiss roll thing too. My colleague was raving about it but it's vile. I would rather go without cake than eat something like that!

That sounds like the worst 'treat' ever invented! :o

Report
SamHamwidge · 24/01/2014 18:55

I agree - will stop trying to fake it and just have a small bar of chocolate. Lesson learnt!

Mind you, I have just engineered all my calories and macros for the day to budget in two glasses of wine for this evening. I'm not entirely sure that I have this diet stuff sussed...

Do you have to separate the egg, whip up the white, then fold the rest in? Then it's like a low fat souffle thing.

Report
RubberDuck · 24/01/2014 18:51

Yeah, I think diet 'cake' would just make me sad :(
