I go at 10-10:30pm and that's me staying up late! I can't stay up any later!!

Neeerly3 · 26/11/2008 16:22

10pm - watch the news in bed, asleep by 10.30 - with kids getting up anywhere from 6.30 i need my sleep!

tonysoprano · 26/11/2008 16:23

Go to bed - around 10pm.
Go to sleep - around 2am (but that's a whole other insomniac thread!)

sweetcat · 26/11/2008 16:24

10pm then read for about 30 minutes. V grumpy if later because I'm up a 6 every day

Tinker · 26/11/2008 16:25

Rarely earlier than midnight, often about 01.00.

barbie1 · 26/11/2008 16:25

i go to bed at 10pm when dh is home, but when he works abroad he is off for 3 months then i spend all night on mn until i fall asleep! cant seem to sleep while he is away x

LouMacca · 26/11/2008 16:29

In the week between 10-10.30pm. Later on Friday/Saturday night. If not out in bed around midnight.

jumpingbeans · 26/11/2008 16:31

Whatever time i wake up from napping on the sofa

HensMum · 26/11/2008 16:31

9pm , then read for about 30mins. I started doing it when DS was getting up at 5.30 every day but now he's sleeping till 6.30 I probably could do a bit later, especially as I still wake up at 5 anyway and lie there waiting for him to wake up!

missblythe · 26/11/2008 16:33

Usually 10-10.30; at the moment it's more like 9, because I'm pregnant and constantly knackered.

Weegle · 26/11/2008 16:37

9pm - but I do suffer from fatigue and insomnia (try that on for hell) and normally read in bed for an hour or so, so asleep 10-10.30pm. DS wakes any time from 6am and I still find it hell getting up.

PinkTulips · 26/11/2008 16:37

12 pm most nights.... 10.30-11 is an early night for me.

i need my 'sitting on my ass relaxing' time in the evening or i'd lose the plot and as dd only has to be at playschool for somewhere between 8.45 and well, before 12ish, we're in no rush in the morning!

when she starts school next year she'll have to be there for 9.15 and it's literally across the road so things will probably be laidback for the forseeable future

DontCallMeBaby · 26/11/2008 16:52

11.00, which is bad news as I don't get to sleep until at least 11.30, then have to get up at 6.30. But I'm a serious owl and am incapable of remembering at 10.00 just how bloody tired I was at 6.30am, and that I should go to bed IMMEDIATELY.

castlesintheair · 26/11/2008 16:54

Reading this, no wonder I'm so tired: try to go around midnight, usually later. Get up at 5.30am.

elkiedee · 26/11/2008 17:08

About midnight, wake up about 6.30 to 7 am but sometimes earlier. Fortunately dp does a lot of dealing with ds in the morning. Some of us don't do ourselves any favours, do we?

PerkinWarbeck · 26/11/2008 17:11

11-11.30

I feel much better if I go at 10pm, but by the time I've done dinner and a few chores, I feel like I want a bit more grown-up, unwinding time.

littleboyblue · 26/11/2008 17:12

Normally about 9, but now that ds isn't getting up till 7:30 ( ) I've been trying to stay up til 10.

Countingthegreyhairs · 26/11/2008 18:25

Crikey! Thanks for all the replies!

Now I know why you are all so gorgeous!

Because you do the sensible thing ....

I can see 10.30pm is the way to go

(reading time is essential - else I can't drop off)

so that means heading up the stairs at 10pm

But it's like Perkin and Pink Tulip say - I need a bit of adult/wind down time

... but maybe if I'm not so knackered I won't feel I need that as much?

I'm a confirmed owl really - trying to change my ways

My worst habit is when I've been out - and then I sit down for an hour or so more to have the quiet time I still think I'm "entitled" to have - I always regret it in the morning ....

Hassled · 26/11/2008 18:39

I'm with you, Counting - I need that child-free couple of hours in the evening (DS2 goes up at 8.30), and if I have an evening meeting (school governor) then I need longer to switch off from the day. So I go up 11 - 11.15, later at weekends, then read till midnight. Alarm goes at 6.50, and it kills me.

Countingthegreyhairs · 26/11/2008 22:13

That's exactly it Hassled, my brain races and won't stop

[and yes, I am going to bed now...]

SilverSixpence · 26/11/2008 23:03

I go to bed at 11.30! i do really need to start getting to bed earlier, but i love the quiet time after DS has gone to bed too much...

Lubyloo · 26/11/2008 23:05

About 2am and read until 2.30. Every night I vow to have an early night but don't manage it.

lauraloola · 26/11/2008 23:05

11ish but dont usually sleep until midnight - My mind wanders. One night a week its 9ish to catch up!
