Those of you who didn't to any sleep "training" -- when did DC child start to sleep through?

DS is 6 month old and co-sleeping. I decided not to do any sleep training for now and he wakes very often in the night. Since we are co-sleeping I am a bit hazy about it, but maybe 3-4 times. Normally he drinks, goes back to sleep until 4am, when he starts crying a lot and needs settling. This goes off and on until 6 or 7am when we get up.

Thise of you who didn't do anything sleep training or encouragement, when did DC start to sleep longer? Thanks!

DD has just started sleeping through - or has slept through for about the last 4 weeks anyway... She's 10 and a half months old. We did no sleep training at all, and put up with everything from hourly feedings, to having to go up and settle her every half hour. I live by the philosophy that a secure baby is a content baby, and will eventually sleep through in her own time, and therefore always breast fed her regardless of last feed / wake up etc. This seemed to work as she is a very happy little thing who got there in the end. Am not holding out for this lasting though as guess teething etc will throw her again.

I denied boob, but introduced co-sleeping for comfort for a month, when DS1 was 16 months (he had been walking for 2 months). was v easy to move routine to his own bed. He still woke a lot at night, but would crawl in with us and immediately settle.

started sleeping through at age 3.

with DS2, have twice (12 and 15 months) tried to deny boob at night, but he wail for hours. Bizarrely, at bedtime, he can be put to bed and will settle himself to sleep (as long as he is very tired). Might hold off until he is walking (he's 19 months and still cruising).

birth to 6weeks up constantly all night (but expected that)

6 weeks to 4mths up about 3-4 times a night

4mths to 9mths slept from 7.30 to 10pm, fed then slept till 5, fed then slept till 8.

9mths - 18mths slept 7.30 to 5.30 but then got up for the day (this was the WORST and got advice from naturally nurturing company

Following advice from NN - 18mths to now (5years old) sleeps 7.30 to 7.30 and at weekends sometimes 8.30. Best bit - in the last few months at weekends he gets up and plays on his own, watchs tv till about 9.30! if he has a friend for a sleepover they make themselves breakfast and don't wake me at all (of course I make sure they are ok) but can play all morning!

does your baby hace a dummy, i gave my dd a dummy at 3/4 months as she was waking up and she would slep longer, you need to get rid of the midle night feeds maybe by giving her dummy or bottle of water so she gets of the milk at night
