Hello all. Our little one is 8months old and having a nightmare with sleep. Needs us to hold her to go off. We get her down and she wakes and screams every time and needs us to stroke her face until she goes back to sleep. We are starting my the Ferber method and 1st night bedtime was 40m until she went off but wondering what we do with naps..for example she generally needs at least 1 hour nap atm but she does wake early sometimes like after 30m and usually Usual throng would be she screams and we would go up and get her up if she doesn’t go off after stroking face etc.. with Ferber if she woke early would we leave her to cry out and go in let’s say after 5/10/15 m or just leave her to try settle

Hi Angelcare1,
I know this is an old post and hoping you could see this. I’m currently going through the same with my 6 month old. Currently day 4 and seeing some improvements but my DD has adapted to this as well as I hoped. Naps have been horrendous, I had to abandon it and cuddle her to sleep to ensure she had some naps today as she just would not settle or self soothe. What did you do with the naps with your little one?
