Can I ask about your 2 yr old & sleep?

DS is 2yrs 6 months. Has bottle of milk in his room with me or DH, then Goes to bed around 6:30pm. He’s in a cot, and in a sleeping bag. Doesn’t always go straight to sleep. Sometimes wakes in the night but not often.
-what time does yours go down?
-do they have milk from a bottle?
-in a cot or bed?
-sleep bag or duvet?

I’m curious, appreciate any answers, not here for judgement or criticism x

Mine was 2 in March he goes to bed at 7pm with milk (cup with a straw) has a book and. falls asleep on our knee within 15mins. Is still in cot bed with pillow and duvet and sleeps until 7am. Up until a month ago he was waking at 5am every day and was having a bottle not a cup so these are recent changes. He has a 2hr nap at 12.15.

Asleep by 7.30pm
No evening milk, only in the morning
In a cot with the side off
In a sleeping bag but changing to a cot duvet soon (no pillow)

Ds is 3.5 and at 2.5 was in a bed with duvet (cot bed sized) and pillow (toddler one). He went into a bed shortly after 2. Dd is 2 years younger and we bought a low single bed so that we could have the cot back for dd at 6 months.

We got it earlier than we need because I was worried that if I ended up with a c section I wouldn't be able to get ds out if the cot, dh goes to work very early middle of the night Ds decided that he was going to have his nap in the bed one day. The next day I put him in his bed for his nap and that night he decided he was going in his bed.

Can't remember when he got rid of his bottle (definitely before 2) but he still has milk in a munchkin 360 at 3.5

Dd is 18 months. Still in cot, bag (sleep snuggler ie bag with legs) and bottle. Tried to get milk in cup but she won't drink it out of cup will try again in another month.

At 2.5 it was 8-8 but started nursery 2.9 and then went to 7-7.

2.4 years and had similar routine since he was two

Has a small cup of milk before bed followed by teeth and a story
Sleeps in a cot bed with a toddler pillow and duvet. He settles instantly and is asleep within 10 minutes.
Pre lock down bedtime was 7-7:30 and would sleep through until 7-7:30am which was ideal for when I need to leave for work
During lockdown bedtime has moved to 8PM and he wakes up between 8am and 9.
I'll move bedtime back once were back at work and nursery

He has a 2 hour nap in the day at home (usually only an hour at nursery) pre lockdown was 1PM during lockdown 2PM

My DD same age as yours, goes to bed 7.30-8ish and up at 7 am, we co sleep still, she sometimes wakes in the night for a bottle, she has a bottle to go to sleep with and I lay with her until she's asleep

2 6 months too, been in a junior bed for 4 months but had a duvet in his cot for a year before this as he preceded it. Bedtime 7 so by the time bath is done in bed by 7.30 with a bottle of milk. I know he shouldn't have the bottle of milk but we're starting potty training this week so will try to stop it, he's a real milk addict so dreading the tantrums that causes!

My 2.5 yr old goes in the bath at about 6:30, by 7 they are tucked in with a bottle of milk. Read a story, kisses and cuddles.
In normal size bed & covers.
Asleep by about 7.30/8 on a good day.
Wakes through the night and expects to get going, ie 2pm last night and was putting the lights on and off, playing with toys, screaming when asked to go back to bed.
Up at 6/7 full of beans. Nap time roughly lunch time for an hour. Runs around the house like a Duracell bunny all day long.

Yes, I'm exhausted.

My DD was 2 in Feb. We do bath, pjs and sometimes she comes downstairs for ten minutes just to play with her sister. Prior to lockdown she was in bed most nights by 6.30. Now it’s more like 7/7.15. She’s stopped having a bottle of milk (but she does have her dummy), and sleeps with a duvet and pillow in a cot bed.

She still naps, usually 1.30-3 (she usually sleeps earlier because we have to be out for school run but we’re more relaxed at the moment) and wakes around 7.30am.

RAINSh0wers · 03/05/2020 20:51

Oh and DD doesn’t wake in the night. On the very rare occasion she does it’ll be because she’s woken up and wants her dummy. She goes to sleep with white noise but we turn it off when we go to bed.

Mammyloveswine · 03/05/2020 21:32

My 2 year old goes to sleep in a cot around 6.30pm, says night night and straight off to sleep!

He wakes up between 5.30-6.30, sleeps through. No bottles, no milk, no supper.
