ds2's (mamas and papas so hardly a bargain) is wonky and the mattress sags

he's only 5 weeks old but i'm considering putting him in the travel cot (cotbed [in his nursery] won't fit through door [into our room] and can't be arsed taking it apart and reassembling it)

My [ultra cheapo] moses basket served a total of 11m+ duty (3 children). The handles are broken but given that we don't carry it byt he handle any way it was not a problem

And the fab thing about a pram is that it moves so can be rocked and sleeping baby can be taken to the shops.

I have just realised it was part of the Ocean range as it was made of Oak.

I can't see it on their website - I don't know whether or not they still do it.

I didn't want a rocking or gliding crib on the basis that I didn't want to start rocking the thing (rod for own back and all that!)

Just read aloahs post now that I'm back.

With DS1 we put the carrycot on the moses basket stand with the moses basket matress in it at bedtime. I'd forgotten about that!

ah bugaboo carrycot doesn't work on stand

but have put travel cot up (with bassinet, which we never used for ds1) and think it will work fine

oh yes! mine all slept in the pram, so long ago I'd forgotten. We also had a carrycot on wheels, don't think they still make them do they?
