hopefully we'll get back to the old routine soon!

cruisemum1 · 07/01/2007 15:48

RumMum · 07/01/2007 16:07

always sleepy....

PinkTulips · 07/01/2007 16:11

12-2 am get to sleep, feed about 3/4 times during night (co-sleep so not too bad but still awake) and awake again at 7/8 am

Frizbe · 07/01/2007 16:12

11-12pm sleep 05:30-07:00 wakeup need a yawn emoticon!!

PeachyClair · 07/01/2007 16:16

between 4 and 6, I guess as I get to sleep 1 (ish) what with ds1 and Uni and Dh's snoring when he is here (he's on meds that cause it though not his fault- if it ever is) then Dh gets home from work around 5 am and I can't sleep after that.

Plus I wake up 2 hourly as I had to do that for years with ds1 and now cannot break the habit, plus ds3 comes into the bed, and so does the bloody kitten.

Did I mention I was tired?????

Generally...

Weeknights - Asleep by 10.30pm - 11pm. Wake at 7.15 - 7.30am. Nine hours on average would be my guess.

Weekends - Asleep by 11pm - 11.30pm. Wake at around 8.30 - 9am. Ten hours on average, prob.

NDPWillSpendLessTimeHereIn2007 · 07/01/2007 16:24

I am hideous without sleep.

Cappuccino · 07/01/2007 16:27

juicy I would have posted exactly the same hours as you

and I'm always knackered too

could always go for a nice lie down if it was offered - however it's not usually!

I think I get tired when I get stressed; it takes a lot out of you and I've been told by a very reliable source that you can sleep badly without realising it if you are stressed

juicychops · 07/01/2007 16:38

I went back to bed after getting ds up and sorted down stairs. 2 days in a row he caused mayhem!! first morning he opened and emptied a whole box of polyfiler all over the front room and kitchen all over the xmas tree and his toys. took hours to clean! was very angry

the next morning i came down to a kitchen and frontroom covered in porrage oats mixed with a whole bottle of febreeze. These things were kept away in the kitchen which i didn't think he could get into easily.

Since then i have been getting up at 7 with him and am so so tired!

ds wakes on average 5:45

so i get to bed as early as i can - usually at 10pm

DetentionGrrrl · 07/01/2007 17:45

varies from 4 hours to about 6 hours. Usually up 5-6am. If DS has an early-ish morning nap then we both go to bed for an hour, which is a lifesaver!

cruisemum1 · 08/01/2007 09:47

how are we all keeping going? Shattered all teh time and getting fed up with it!

expatinscotland · 08/01/2007 09:49

I'm an insomniac. 6 hours, tops.

Mostly 5.5 during the week.

At weekends, 10 hours/night.

snowfunwhenyoureknackered · 08/01/2007 09:49

my festive name would suit everyone on this thread!!

DimpledThighs · 08/01/2007 10:05

seasonal insomniac - so at the moment I go to sleep around 2am-3am and wake up at 7am.

I am exhausted and my husband keeps saying if I am so tire why can't I just go to sleep!

In the summer I get to sleep about midnight and wake up about 7am - and I am much better for it!

CanSleepWellSometimes · 08/01/2007 10:06

Go to sleep usually between 11pm and midnight. Awake when dd wakes me, usually 6ish. But I wake often during the night and it sometimes takes me hours to get back to sleep, even when I'm knackered (and especially if dh is home as his snoring keeps me awake). Usually get around 6 hours, rarely more.

FeelingOld · 08/01/2007 10:08

I usually get about 6 hours week nights
Go to be 11.30 ish, read for 1/2 hour, get up about 6.15am.
Weekends got to bed same time, get up about 7.30 so get about 7 1/2 hours.

deaconblue · 08/01/2007 10:10

I usually am asleep at about 10.30 and ds wakes me between 7 and 7.30. Even this doesn't seem to be enough though.

LittleSarah · 08/01/2007 10:11

Usually got to bed between 10.30pm- 12am and get up about 7am.

Depends at the weekend, if I have dd then bed around the same time and up around the same time, although sometimes let her watch CBeebies and lie in my bed a bit longer!

If she is at her dads then I go to bed between 12 - 4am and get up between 10 - 12pm (altho this weekend I slept in til 1.30pm!)

BikeBug · 08/01/2007 10:22

I have the potential for about 6.5 hours (11.30pm - 6am) but ds wakes up two or three times in the night and can be up for anything up to 2 hours, though it's usually more like 5-30 minutes. I can't believe I've been getting by on between 4 and 6 hours sleep a night for the past 10 months. I feel OK to be honest.... (maybe I should be running the country or something)

brimfull · 08/01/2007 10:26

I usually go to bed around midnight read for 30 mins, wake up at 7:30
But I have a terrible habit of staying up too late.Dh goes to bed really early 9pm about 3/4 days a week and I stay up for hours m'netting/reading/watching tv.End up exhausted, wish I could be disciplined enough to go to bed every night at the same time.

ProfYaffle · 08/01/2007 10:27

I have the potential for about 9 hrs but I'm 32 weeks pg and finding it difficult to get comfortable at night so waking a lot. dd1 is a fab sleeper, usually sleeps 7 - 7, I've a feeling that dd2 is going to disrupt our cosy routine!

SSShakeTheChi · 08/01/2007 10:33

I could in theory get a decent night's sleep but I sleep lightly these days and wake up a lot in the night. Last night I couldn't sleep at all. Dd's first day back at school and I didn't think I'd be able to get up in time (6 am) after the long break.

I'm whacked.
