MNHQ- after some pootling about, I seem to have worked out that your status is applied retrospectively to recent name-changes.

Tell me, where does that leave us when we post on bumsex on sensitive topics with a name-change?

If somebody hovers over the namechange days later and sees something fabulously witty that just happens to match what BitOfFun has on her status today, the whole privacy thing is going to fall apart, isn't it?

We don't really know how far back this retrospective thing applies- it effectively means you can never use the status thing if you've ever namechanged since they introduced the statuses.

I concur. Make it attached to only one name (as for the profiles).
