Actually, no, we don't usually email people to tell them their post has been deleted - although we always try to reply to everyone who reports posts to us.
Obviously, though, if you have a post deleted and have no idea why (not that usual, tbh!), you're most welcome to email us and ask. As gloriously competent and fair-minded as we all are at MNHQ , we have been known to press the delete button once or twice in error.
BTW, "you loon" probably counts as a personal attack, dontchathink?

Just clocked this thread Libra - in answer to your question we probably would delete the lazy comment if you reported it but we don't trawl the boards looking for things to delete - as a rule we only look at stuff brought to our attention. So the first filter really is whether anyone is sufficiently bothered by something to report it. If they do, then it doesn't really matter what the words used are - whether it's calling someone a loon, crazy or lazy, we are quite likely to delete it.
