Hidden space - a hole in the MN time/space continuum?

I have noticed that in long
posts, suddenly there appears a rogue space.

Is this a secret door into the wonderful world of MNHQ, or something more mundane to do with the arcane world of coding?

I think that it imposes a space at the point at which it needs to impose a line break. But that point will change according to where on the page the post lies (and how long a line is available at that particular point, given the position of the ads). So at other points the imposed space just appears as a space and not as a line break.

Does that win the award for the most wide-of-the-mark piece of casuistry on the thread?

I am none the wiser myself VW.

However, NortbertD at 22.08 stated there seemed to be a re-occurance on certain lines.

In the first instance I applied the text (the zeros) loosely following the pattern of Composite numbers (concentrating on the numbers where most people seem to find a pattern emerging - 8 and 9) and also 26: 26 because it is a composite number, and NorbertD mentioned it (vice versa)

60 is the second Unitary Perfect number.
6 being the first.
It seemed a good enough place to start to see the emerging patterns in the uniform (same size) text.

I really am just waffling, but it does make pretty patterns

IMO.. it's just an unwanted that gets thrown in when text that you type gets converted into HTML. and it being programming and all.. it's all based on maths and therefore it would be highly likey that you'd be able to find a pattern in it... even if the pattern cahnges. I.e each post culd trow up a different pattern.. depending on the randown that the convertor throws in.. on each post.

How thick am I? I can see the patterns now (all reverse diagonal lines). Doh. Except for mine which was reverse reverse IYSWIM.

It just doesn't look like a line when you have fewer characters.

So yes (some of you have been saying this all along haven't you? ) it must be just something put there every so many characters?
