Whatever happened to Rachel - one of the original Mumnset 'three'?

Whenever I see stuff about the Mumsnet Founders, Justine and Carrie (as per the feature about the Red Award today...) I always think 'What happened to Rachel?' so I thought I'd ask.....

I'm sure when MN was set up there were three 'founders' weren't there?

So what happened? Do tell....

The Red Hot Women Award, Riven.

Sticky about it at the top of active conversations.

We are all Red Hot Women, dontcha know.

morningpaper · 05/11/2009 08:20

Is Big Tech a Red Hot Woman?

"My mum getting all over excited at being in the same room as people from the the Telly."

Isn't he a bronzed hunk highly qualified Australian IT student on his gap year.

Am I close?

morningpaper · 05/11/2009 08:59

He is more like a Gruffalo who can type

ABetaDad · 05/11/2009 09:11

I bet he will go when he reads that though!

morningpaper · 05/11/2009 09:16

I mean he's sort of big and hairy

he didn't have actual yellow horns when I met him and wasn't licking his chops at the thought of gobbling me up

not in a HUNGRY way anyway

RachelMumsnet · 05/11/2009 10:39

This thread has made me laugh this morning. I am very much alive and well, just busy beavering away behind the scenes to make sure the site is ticking along nicely. Pleased you remember me from the old days, Legacy, when I used to post more, largely cos there was no-one else around to do it!

Swedes2Turnips0 · 05/11/2009 10:44

I think we need to see a photo of Rachel holding a copy of today's Daily Mail, to be certain.

morningpaper · 05/11/2009 10:49

If you do a google image search for Rachel Mumsnet then this comes up

BitOfFun · 05/11/2009 12:49
Shock
BitOfFun · 05/11/2009 12:51

I can see why Gordon was a bit recalcitrant tbh- was that after Rachel handed him the bourbons or whatever?

ABetaDad · 05/11/2009 14:39

Is that really her?

She has a very nice manicure and a pretty headscarf I notice.

Legacy · 05/11/2009 15:13

Ah - Rachel - glad you're here.. (and not under the patio...)

I think I met you at one of the early events - was it the champagne reception in Covent Garden?

Yes - I remember the days when it seemed like every other post was from you (and we accused the MN team of name-changing and posting to themselves, just to keep the threads going )

Ah yes, those were the days....

I was someone else then of course

Gruffalo - If this is what you mean then yes.....

morningpaper · 05/11/2009 15:40

Big Tech and Morningpaper

Owllady · 30/12/2016 23:35

Rachel was definitely at the top wasn't she when it said 'founded by Justine, Carrie and Rachel'?
And wasn't Carrie a founder? Confused

Nineloves1 · 30/12/2016 23:41

It's now a two tiered patio......

ZOMBIE THREAD

This is seven years old!

Nineloves1 · 30/12/2016 23:43

I know, but the original patio bit made me chuckle. How did you come upon it, Owllady?

Owllady · 30/12/2016 23:44

I do apologise but so is my tumbly wumbly dryer and I'm just flatty watty out with the washy washing that I didn't realise

Peppapig · 30/12/2016 23:44

So? Some of us have long memories and we're here at the start somare naturally curious
