I have seen your post and am sorry to you and everyone that some things are not as they should be. We are working very hard to make your stay on Mumsnet a pleasurable one and are reading all your comments and suggestions. Please keep them coming and we will resolve as many issues as we can as soon as we can.

As for your little list:

Topics and titles still linked in active convos - Fixed

Threads I'm On not working, looks awful, truncated - Fixed

Truncation of names followed by ... - Where is this happening, i will have a look ...

Post and preview buttons moving all over the shop/changing colour - They are sorted now and will stop moving and will remain purple.

Search not working - Is this Advanced search? If so please check it again, because everything seems fine at this end. Also, please be a bit more specific.

Hide not working - Should be working, please let me know if this is still an issue.

Watching not working - Should be working, please check and let me know what part is not working.

Having the thread title twice in bold at the top of the page makes me feel like you think we can't read it the first go through - Fixed, no more double titles.....

I don't like the words instead of the buttons for CAT and reporting etc. - New features require a slight change. Hope this is not an unbearable one...

There are other things I'm sure but I'm wondering if you're sneaking in MN new while we're not looking. - We know you are watching our every move and we would not try a slip something past you.

There was a huge change to Talk last week and we are just ironing out a few kinks. Please bear with us and once the small things that are broken have been fixed then we will stop tinkering with the live site and create new features ready for another big release.....

Advanced search is not working as it was:- if you search for a name it will bring up the thread that poster has written on, but not the post itself, that may be way down the thread.

Sorry I wasn't being more specific. Other people had been more specific about the problems so didn't want to run on. Most is fixed now, but...

Advanced search. When you click on a thread in the search results it doesn't take you to that thread but to that topic. So if the thread was 'isn't David Mitchell just beautiful' in 'sleb twaddle', clicking on the thread doesn't take me to a wonderful analysis of just why he is the perfect man, it takes me to the sleb twaddle topic with a load of rubbish about some footballer who looks like a potato having a baby named kai or all things. You can see my frustration, yes?

And name truncation, when the poster's name is above a certain number of characters, instead of the full name displaying above their post you get partofnamebutwithbi... instead. I think this is normal in MN new but I'm in classic and it doesn't usually happen.

Threads I'm on looks much better today. Much tidier.

These changes were necessary to fix all layout problems across IE and iPhone and to re-code the whole of Talk so that the tech team can navigate the template files on the server alot easier than before. Therefore, being able to fix and tinker easier.

Sorry there were a few teething problems but once it is done everyone (especially me) will be a lot happier.

I am here to help so please let me know if there is anything else you would like me to take a look at.
