She was a prominent poster here for years Pauldacre but hasn't been around much for the last year or two. For those of us that do remember her, personal slatings of her are a bit harsh to read.

This is all old time stuff I think, PDEB (jeez, these new names are a struggle for a two-fingered typist like myself), plus she was mostly on SN it seems.

Now I am confused!

the poster in question was very kind and compassionate to me on a number of occasions. She gave good advice and was a lovely person. (I'm sure she still is, that bit sounds like an obituary)

Because she has lifted quotes from a public website on the WWW. People on here are slagging her off personally and professionally based on one article. These two things are very different. Yes say you disagree with what she's done but whoever called her journoscum was out of order.

and by using her posting name in talking about her, we are drawing a link between her RL name - which is on the article and has been used extensively on here since - and her MN name

I don't think it's fair for us to know Ms Hardy's current posting name. You all know my current posting name, obviously (and my usual name, or you could if you did a search, I have referred to my "real" posting name in early posts under this one) but you don't know my actual name. We know that there is a MNer called Leah Hardy but to know her posting name as well would be invasive. as invasive as if you found out my RL name.

Nontheless, what she has done is ill judged and shitty and we all have the right to feel very aggrieved about it.

Mine seems rather tame in comparison
