The luxury break thing was crap anyway - one has to be taken by Nov and is only midweek, and neither can be taken in holidays despite them being "family friendly" places.

Anyway, if it's any comfort to anyone, you're as ill as hell with severe headache, muscle ache, nausea, fever, vomiting, diars, sore throat, i.e. the whole nine yards of "normal" flu all at the same time but that's it. I thought ds had meningitis & rushed him to the paed - the symptoms are similar - but swine flu didn't occur to me until the paed asked me if I'd thought of it...

I still have no idea if I had normal flu or the swine variety (couldn't see the point in finding out tbh as I knew I wouldn't take the meds during pregnancy), but whatever I had, it was crappy but doable. Unless I had other health concerns, I still say just roll with it.

funny thing about "allowing" them, I wouldn't particularly opt to get them immunised in this case - unlike MMR etc, however if it were being done at school and so on on I wouldn't disallow it. I think I fall on the apathy side of the fence.

I like to think that side has more pillows and margaritas.
