Roll up, roll up - new categories and topics

JustineMumsnet · 11/08/2009 14:37

Due to a heady concoction of popular demand, some oversized topics and a few diplomatic incidents we are creating 2 new categories on Talk:
First Products which will have the following topics:
Baby Monitors
Breastpumps
Changing bags
Clothes and shoes
Cots and beds
DVDs
Highchairs and baby seats
Household goods
Nappies
Other
Pushchairs
Slings and backpacks
Toys and games
Video games

(nb these topics are strictly for chatting about products rather than selling them - you need to use For sale if you want to sell)

and a Legal and money category with the following topics:
Credit crunch
Investments
Legal matters
Money matters
Promotional codes and vouchers

We hope that works for all - sorry to nappies folks for shunting you around again - hope this makes sense.

Please address all observations/problems/complaints to [email protected]

Where is the topic for
"I wish my DC/DP (delete as appropriate) Had a mute/off switch" ???

"Moaners corner"
"We were once people and not just mums"
"Lotsa laughter"

ohh the list is endless!!!

gigglewitch · 11/08/2009 23:53

I am pmsl - this thread is fantastic

siouxsieandthebanshees · 12/08/2009 00:00

all I want is an emoticon which expresses itself better than maybe even a two fingered emoticon!

gigglewitch · 12/08/2009 00:03

hehe - the emoticon debate [grin

I still want the crosseyed one. Please. I've been asking for years but I really really need it (quotes dd, age 3)

gigglewitch · 12/08/2009 00:03

ffs, I can't even get right

SolidGoldBrass · 12/08/2009 00:07

Well I want a [mooning at you you bastards] emoticon, for a start.
Though actually, given that there is an Ebay topic, how about a Facebook topic? So people can post endlessly about 'My H/P has more friends than me on Facebook and I am so fucking inadequate that I keep hacking his applications and whining that someone, somewhere appears to be having fun'/'Someone who dumped me when we were both 12 has just got back in touch via Facebook and I am now plotting to meet him for hot monkey sex in some car park somewhere despite the fact that it is highly unlikely we will recognise each other'.

Oh, and I could plug the fact that I have just written a Facebook quiz and am so sad I want it to go completely viral...

TheLadyEvenstar · 12/08/2009 00:12

SGB lol you mean you have FB????

and errr what is monkey sex? I was just getting used to bum sex

TheLadyEvenstar · 12/08/2009 00:12

being discussed i mean!!!

SolidGoldBrass · 12/08/2009 00:13

Monkey sex is when you go 'Ooh ooh aaah aaah@ in a high pitched voice.

gigglewitch · 12/08/2009 01:07

and swing through the trees of course.
And do unspeakable things with bananas

RustyBear · 12/08/2009 08:14

SGB - you mean like this Facebook topic that's been in the Clubs section for a couple of weeks now?

SolidGoldBrass · 12/08/2009 10:32

Ah. Thank you Rusty - I nevewr look in the Clubs section.

titferbrains · 12/08/2009 19:37

I'd like a board for apologising for previous miserable rants when I'm feeling in a much cheerier mood and DD is cooperating.

zipzap · 24/08/2009 23:01

Could we have a products section for stuff you need when starting school? DS1 is just about to go to school and there seems to be so much stuff around, have no idea what is good and what is bad, what is necessary and what is a waste of time, which uniforms last well, where the magic labelling fairy lives ...

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/08/2009 18:30

could we have an emoticon that sticks its tongue out please.
It says all i want to say to/at some posts
