It's happened a lot over last few days

Bumping because today I got the message that www.mumsnet.com didn't even exist.

Someone from HQ want to give us some answers? Maybe? PUHLEASEEEE???

Oops, forgot that I wanted to suggest a Status Update page. Most large message boards (i.e. Live Journal) have one, housed on a separate server, so that users can go there and see what might be happening.

Glad its not just me then!
