I want to re-order 'threads I'm on' by most recently active.

Right now it is ordered by which I have posted on most recently.

I want to order it so the top thread is the one that anyone has posted on most recently.

I don't think I can do that at the moment, can I?

(I'd also quite like to be able to hide threads out of 'threads I'm on', but that's a different issue)

Please? Is it going to be really difficult?

Ok, Ok . Please form an orderly line, ladies...

Trillian: Are you in MN Classic? Because in MN New, the order is dictated by the thread with the most recent post on it (by anyone).

BlingDreaming/Juxal/BitofFun: being able to choose how you order/hide/generally customise Threads I'm On and Threads I Started is on BigTech's to do list. But it's not exactly at the top - so it may be a while before he gets to it...

GracieGracie: Just click on Customise at the top of the page (second link along under Mumsnet Talk heading) and then click on the Mumsnet New button and press Save.

BitofFun: oh, go on, give it a try. The text is generally bigger in New (although I take your point about the names)

HelenMumsnet · 21/04/2009 12:29

Trillian: Reality's name has been truncated, so it doesn't cause a big white space at the top of the thread. As soon as her post moves down (assuming you're reading the thread most recent post first) below the ads and tips, her name will be back to all its untruncated glory.

And you must be in MN New, btw, because this doesn't happen in Classic...

HelenMumsnet · 21/04/2009 12:32

Trillian and Reality: Hmm, re ordering. It's working for us here at MNHQ but maybe we're not on so many threads as you.

We're not ignoring you, though - and we will look into it.

HelenMumsnet · 21/04/2009 12:36

Trillian: Ok, so if Reality (or someone with a similarly long name) posts again further down your book-stylee thread, her name should be untruncated.

HelenMumsnet · 21/04/2009 13:12

Hmm. We may need to re-visit the old truncating thang. Will be back in a bit...

HelenMumsnet · 21/04/2009 13:27

KingCanuteIam: We are looking at that in both MN Classic and New - but it will probably take us a while
