Hello and welcome

I've got my dongle working! Woohoo!

Today is a briefing day organised by the G20 Voice peeps.

Am networking like a wild thing. Oh look, there's Michelle O. 'Scuse me.

Yes bed for me too.

I hope PW is having a good time.

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 22:47

Lenin, you're having the tipsy tete a tete with the lovely Vikki?

onebatmother · 01/04/2009 22:48

it's just so .. dumb.

Interesting that they belong to the same testosterone-addled age-group as the risk-unaverse city boys whom the banks foolishly entrusted with their futures.

There's a reason that car insurance for the unde 30s is so bloody high, you know.

Anyone still here?

Am back at hotel, stone-cold sober and jittery.

You want me to talk to the Chinese blogger, eh?

Policywonk - Hello

policywonk · 01/04/2009 22:57

How much will I be charged for one tube of decaff coffee and two custard creams?

OP posts:
Swedes · 01/04/2009 22:58

Why jittery and why stone cold sober?

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 22:58

I'm still here, adoring Charlie Brooker in the background.

Lenin, I think we toned the leching down, didn't we? We've got all multi-syllabic in the past few posts...

policywonk · 01/04/2009 22:58

Hello dear

Sorry I didn't get back to you on the capitalism thing but I see you've been having a jolly improving discussion about it. (But I did say 'prioritise', not 'address', you naughty thing.)

Swedes · 01/04/2009 22:59

And how about Surf's Up on the premium channel before bed?

policywonk · 01/04/2009 23:00

Sober 'cos I thought it best really (have to be up at 5.45 tomorrow). Jittery because... over-excited and over-tired.

Haven't seen any telly at all for days. Can someone tell me what's happening?

OP posts:
KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 23:02

PW, I hope sleep happens, I should think you're quite wired. I should go off to bed, too - I'm hobnobbing with big minds tomorrow too, and they need me to explain grammar... maybe it'll be the same for you

Swedes · 01/04/2009 23:03

Why do you have to be up at 5.45am?

policywonk · 01/04/2009 23:03

5.45: cursed alarm will go off
6.30: inspection in the hotel lobby
6.45 - 10: getting through security (really)
10 - 3.30: organised chaos, no idea yet whenwhatwhere
3.30 - 4.30: final communique released
4.30 - 5.30: tap tap tap
5.30: hit the bar

Well PW I've been reading the news today and it's the usual exageration of protester violence in the city despite largely peaceful protest.

N. Sarkosy threatening to walk out if things don't go his way already.

Obama saying it'll all be fine.

Brown saying, 'Yes Barack. No Barack. Three bags full Barack'. Or am I being overly cynical.

You look fab on the home page btw.

policywonk · 01/04/2009 23:05

Goodnight Kay. And can I just say, given recent events, that yours is exactly that sort of neighbourhood.
