I use my laptop to surf MN and when I am scrolling across on the mouse pad if I have to take two sweeps at it and am over that advert it turns the bloody sound on and I have to keep switching it off. It's reeeeaaaaaalllllly starting to get on my nerves

Please, make it stop

Can I add my WAIL? DH is hovering, "helpfully offering" to block the pop-ups but the last time he did that...ah well I won't get into it.

Please take the Cbeebies advert OFF

pixsix · 04/03/2009 08:44

It keeps playing when I refresh a page. Very annoying.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/03/2009 11:59

I'm getting quite adept at scrolling around it now!!

Ah, is that what it was? My laptop suddenly started singing Cbeebies songs at me yesterday and I had lots of windows and tabs open so I couldn't work out which one was doing the warbling. It's nice to know that my computer hardware hasn't been possessed by the demonic spirits of Sid & Andy, at least.

HelenMumsnet · 04/03/2009 12:19

Hello everyone. We're really sorry about this. It shouldn't have happened.

We don't allow rollover sound on our ads - only clickable sound - because we know how annoying it is think that's a better fit for our kind of site.

So, this ad must have been supplied to our ad agency by mistake.

We've asked for it to be replaced within 24 hours.

Thank you for telling us about it - and sorry again for the racket inconvenience.

pixsix · 04/03/2009 12:36

Thank you

LackaDAISYcal · 04/03/2009 13:19

Thanks Helen

It's not just the noise, it's the fact that it is the cbeebies music for me. It means that DS suddenly develops an interest in finding out what I'm doing on the computer instead of playing. Grr.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/03/2009 17:14

lol llaregub, ikwym

claireybeemine · 06/03/2009 14:58

I'm enjoying it I am quite a fan of the number rap though

tiktok · 06/03/2009 18:00

Please, please get this sorted.....I have turned off my sound completely now so's not to be caught by it.

pixsix · 07/03/2009 11:13

It's still there!

ilovemydogandMrObama · 07/03/2009 11:23

I hate it too!

LadyOfWaffle · 07/03/2009 11:37

We are all on MN... do they not think we have already discovered Cbeebies??

CatherineMumsnet · 07/03/2009 20:12

Hi all, the agency are supposed to be sending us over a non-rollable version. We chased on Fri and shall hopefully have it on Mon.

abroadandmisunderstood · 07/03/2009 20:17

It's blissfully quiet in Germany on MN. No CBeebies ads although I want to see what you're all talking about now...
