That's it really. Mumsnet are appearing on 'This Morning' in the not to distant future, so where do their fees go?

I think there should be a poll on which charity it goes to - don't you?

I suspect your moral crusading about ethical profiteering might be better utilised elsewhere. Were any of your quotes used in this cynical moneymaking ruse of mnhq's? Do you feel exploited?

OliviaMumsnet · 09/02/2009 22:16

Ace, you might want to see what Justine said about writing the books here

Really wish I hadn't clicked on this thread...

AitchTwoOh · 09/02/2009 22:40

it's funny, every so often someone pops up to say 'you FOOLS, you realise you're being exploited' and they generally get very pissed off when everybody else has a more sophisticated interpretation of the facts.

ace123 · 09/02/2009 22:44

I'm not pissed off at all, but I don't agree that everybody else has a 'more sophisticated interpretation of the facts'.

So, the majority opinion is that if mumsnet were to make a profit from mumsnetters by appearing on day-time TV shows, zero percent should go to charity. Shame.

OP posts:
Carmenere · 09/02/2009 23:19

Yes that does seem to be the majority opinion

The samaritans

As they do a brill job.. and some of the people on here should be volunteers cos some of the advice here is fantastic

fryalot · 09/02/2009 23:21

ace123 - they want mumsnetters to appear on This Morning with them.

Why don't you nominate yourself.

then whatever fee Phil & Fern give to you you are free to give it to the Royal Society for the protection of trolls whatever charity you wish.

I certainly wouldn't appreciate you telling me what I could or should do with any money I had legitimately earnt.

And I very much doubt they are getting paid a bean.

bellabelly · 09/02/2009 23:23

I'm not interested in how mumsnet's hypthetical fee is spent but am wondering what ahundredtimes is going to do with all the cash she'll rake in from those banners? I think we should be told...

lisaofpalatine · 09/02/2009 23:26

jesus what a plank!

mn isn't a charity - if there are fees involved in mntowers going on a tv programme to Promote their new books and website ( and i didn't think thats how things worked) then i hope mntowers give themselves a nice bonus and get wankered
