What would you do? (in one paragraph!)
We have been asked by RED magazine what our take would be, so I need to consult the Mumsnet oracle. (Guess we should ask Harriet when she comes on too - she should have thought it through at least.)

anonandilikeit - you have a v. good point - not only tenalady necessarily - but free feminine hygeine products.

abolish public schools. Introduce inheritance and gift tax of 100% so that you can only have what you work for. Make some form of work or community service compulsory for all non disabled adults. Establish an honours system that rewards people who help others not those who exploit them. Pulp all women's magazines and all lads magazine and make tai chi compulsory.

Blimey, was going to say bring back socialism, share the profits of labour amongst all who work with welfare for those who can't. ENFORCE equality between men, women, black, white, disabled and able-bodied and all.

But Custy put it SO much better. She gets my vote (apart from the 12 weeks thing, that comes under 'equality').

I'd make sure I had enough cash to do what I wanted and put someone else in charge (someone sensible, obv). Then I'd skip off round the world in a big fat yacht...until my conscience got the better of me and I came back to bed down in the world's angst and I'd try to fix everything for evreyone before dying, far too young, far too wrinkled and far too unloved because if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that you can't please anybody!
