Mumsnet Christmas Card - Vote here, vote now!

Following on from a marvellous thread about what a Mumsnet Christmas card would be like, we've stolen your brilliant ideas and asked our very own, newly discovered super-talented Boco to come up with some illustrations for them. Choose your fave and Boco has promised to colour in the winner so we can send it off to all our Mumsnet friends - Scheherezade, Tony P, Tana, Piers etc - just to make sure they've not forgotten us.

We'll also have them all available for you to send as festive e-cards, thereby saving you valuable pennies in these crunching times.

Remember Vote early, vote often and Merry Christmas, of course.

S1ur · 11/11/2008 21:45

Arf fantastic, v funny. And well done Boco!

Beauregard · 11/11/2008 21:46

Great stuff Boco

Mung · 11/11/2008 21:46

They are great.
Very funny.
I have voted.

TinkerBellesMum · 11/11/2008 21:50

What will happen when the winner is chosen?

TinkerBellesMum · 11/11/2008 21:50

Just reread the OP sorry

morningpaper · 11/11/2008 22:13

MINE IS LOSING

I NEED MORE VOTES

morningpaper · 11/11/2008 22:14

blimey there's a lot of votes there

you lot ARE opinionated

ahundredtimes · 11/11/2008 22:18

I have voted for names - but all suggestions v. good indeed. I liked the zombie one on the list too - but perhaps a tad unusual for Christmas?

I agree with Slur, Justine I don't think Boco is 'newly discovered' is she? She's a illustrator ma'am.

Can we get like actual real cards or is it just for e-cards? [pushy]

ahundredtimes · 11/11/2008 22:18

Is yours the fat one MP?

JustineMumsnet · 11/11/2008 22:22

Ok so we should be able to see them after we've voted shouldn't we - will fix that tomorrow. (apologies)

wrt to various queries/points

VintageGardenia if only you'd been on the original thread!

Slur, it's a grave mistake to assume we actually read MN always best to drop us a line with your suggestions/ or post them in Site Stuff!

NotanOtter - sorry that was just a throwaway, slightly facetious remark (apologies). On balance we'd rather folks voted only once .

OP posts:
JustineMumsnet · 11/11/2008 22:30

And we'll look into actual printing costs etc too and let you know whether we can sensibly produce/sell them in hard copy, as it were.

fryalot · 11/11/2008 22:30

They're all fab!

May I second (or third, or fourth or whatever...) the request for real cards so we can post them to our family & friends.

pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?

fryalot · 11/11/2008 22:31

yay!

ja9 · 11/11/2008 22:36

Genius - the original thread was FANTASTIC (not sure you've shortlisted all the best ideas though...)

still, have voted! lovin it!

JustineMumsnet · 11/11/2008 22:40

Do email [email protected] if you've any complaints about the choice of cards.

In our defence there were lots of very funny themes we thought but some were very in-house, as it were, and wouldn't translate necessarily to a wider audience.

OP posts:
TinkerBellesMum · 11/11/2008 22:46

Can I suggest that whatever format they come in that they're a plug for MN too? That way we can send them to Mummy (and Daddy) friends and be telling them how wonderful MN is too.

ja9 · 11/11/2008 22:47

steady justine

i'm not a complainer

you've probably hit the nail onthe head with the 'in-house' comment.

shopaholicDIVA · 11/11/2008 22:50

voted birthing ball. very mumsnetic

JustineMumsnet · 11/11/2008 22:53

You most certainly can suggest that TinkerBellesMum and were there a competition for helpful suggestions you would be instantly catapulted to the top of the winners' pile. .

I agree the original thread is real genius, very clever ideas. My weak tea complaint is that they are all in the same modern humorous category so you are either going to absolutely love them all or not be sure. For those who love them its a tough decision with one vote only. (Don't get me wrong as a humourless cow or something ..I do buy and have in my possession humourous cards in my cards box ).. I would like to have seen a captionless picture of a parent and child doing something christmasy with the mumsnet logo cleverly included. Anyway now I've got over my moaning I'm voting for the fat one.

solo · 11/11/2008 23:30

I don't get the 'vote early, vote often' bit by Justine as you can only vote once anyway...
