There will be a short period where Mumsnet is off the air tonight (Wednesday). Hopefully it won't be for more than a few minutes so there shouldn't be any need to, y'know, talk to your partners or anything.

TR, it is 4:03, to be precise. Which corresponds to 8:03 here. Which is 3 minutes past when I finish getting the kids down for bed and finally have time to sit in peace.

Tech is probably my most unfavorite person on the planet most days, I'm afraid.

dooneygirl, as I mentioned earlier, we're working really hard on a fairly complex plan which will mean we no longer have to shutdown for a few minutes each night around 4am. No promises but it'll probably be up and running some time next week.

Oh do you know what I have just had the most stunning idea on this planet.

Tech you need to go to bed NOW!!!

Then you need to set you alarm for 3:45am...then you can come and switch off MN at 4am in the morning when you normally switch it off anyway so 80% of us won't even notice (sorry Dooney - but it sounds like you already suffer so why make us all suffer???).

Off you go. Night night.
