Automatic scrolling glitch

Hi Mumsnet,

I’ve recently started experiencing a glitch where when I load a thread, it automatically slowly scrolls by itself and I can’t scroll very well. I have screen recorded what happens and can share this with you. Is there a fix for this?

I am using Mumsnet on my iPhone in safari.

The same thing’s happening to me. It’s making the site close to unusable.

Thanks for flagging this to us, @Floraflower3- it sounds very frustrating and you're clearly not alone.

Please could you send your screen recording to us at [email protected]. We're particularly keen to see which ads are on the threads when this happens, so if you (or anyone else experiencing this) can attempt to record all ads on the page when it happens, it'll hopefully help us track down the issue.

I get this on safari too and many many other glitches tbh (still get the 401 code when logging in). I have to use MN in private browsing for it to be even remotely useable and even then it’s a stretch.

I was just about to post about this too! It’s so annoying! I noticed it first last week and it just randomly happens all the time now. Jerky slow scroll, it makes mumsnet unusable

Mine has been worse than ever today. Doesn’t seem to be any pattern with the adverts though.

Same! I think it’s related to an ad that plays as a video.

This one. Happening on nearly every thread today. Can’t then use the buttons at the bottom of the screen as the page is moving.

Had this a few weeks ago and it just did it again!

It’s still happening. It’s been on all the threads I’ve watched/read today.

Same here. Never happened before. Safari iOS 27.01. Once it starts I can’t get out of the thread and have to force quit Safari

Same. iPhone, safari. Not every thread but seems to occur at least once a day for the last couple of days.
