I understand that there was recently a poster in FWR who posted the addresses of some women involved with For Women Scotland. Incorrect addresses apparently, but still.

I'm sure you have but I just want to check, MNHQ have you reported this poster to the police?

Hi all.

We’re aware of this and have taken action on the poster and removed their posts.

To be clear, we take the sharing of personal information extremely seriously, regardless of where that information first appeared. It’s not acceptable to post or speculate about people’s addresses or other identifying details here.

It's our understanding that a police report may already have been made elsewhere. If the police or affected parties need to contact us through the appropriate channels, we’ll deal with that in the proper way.

If you see anything else concerning, please report it to us.

Hello @WomenAreNotEmotionalSupportAnimals We understand why people are concerned.

In cases like this, the affected parties are usually best placed to make a report to police because they can provide the necessary context about what has happened, any wider history, the impact on them and so forth. They can also give police the most complete account of events. Those affected can of course ask the investigating officer to get in touch with us.

That doesn’t mean we ignore it or don't take it seriously. We’ve removed the posts, taken action on the account, and we can and do assist investigations where we’re able to, when contacted through the appropriate channels.
