Blue is still too bright!

As the thread "A few updates to Mumsnet" is full, I thought I would start this as from what I've read it's still causing problems for posters, including me. I've gone back to the classic colours and removed Original Poster and My Posts which has improved matters, but the blue is unbearable on some pages. It may have passed accessibility tests, but this user is still getting bad eye strain from it.
I hope that Mumsnet can do something about it, especially if enough of us are having issues with it.
There was nothing wrong with the original blue!

Yeah the blue is still too bright & the voting pink!

I agree the blue is way too bright

The change is very disappointing, i have been on Mumsnet on & off (some name changes and mostly lurking ) for about 15 years and as the colour was so constant assumed the blue was Mumsnet's signature colour like Cadburys purple or BP's green. It was part of the brand .. mumsnet blue. The high contrast blue now is very cartoonish and makes the site seem frivolous, which when you consider the topics and issues discussed are very far from frivolity.

Again its just disappointing and maybe even a bit disrespectful .

I agree @GwenniMcKinney

As someone who used to work in design/marketing, it’s clear that the colour changes were not made with any/much thought to how it would change the ‘feel’ or ‘meaning’ of the MN brand. Colour, and tones, are hugely important in terms of creating a strong brand - and Cadbury is a very good example of that.

MNHQ does not care

I agree, the garish, gaudy blue text is really unpleasant and difficult to read on the thread list views. I just don't want to look at it - want to get off the page ASAP - counterproductive.

So glad to see classic purple and green back in the OP/own colour options.

It's a really odd set of changes overall - doesn't seem to be a coherent scheme with complementary colours, what with the washed-out 'magenta' (not) and grimy grey-green mashed up with eyeball-searing (and childish) pink and blue.

Glad I found this thread - yes the new blue is way too bright and it's very tiring on my eyes. Spending less time on the site as a result.

Thanks to PP for the tips on how to change back to "Classic" colours for OP posts and own posts! That helps - but the new blue and overall brightness is awful!
