Blue is still too bright!

As the thread "A few updates to Mumsnet" is full, I thought I would start this as from what I've read it's still causing problems for posters, including me. I've gone back to the classic colours and removed Original Poster and My Posts which has improved matters, but the blue is unbearable on some pages. It may have passed accessibility tests, but this user is still getting bad eye strain from it.
I hope that Mumsnet can do something about it, especially if enough of us are having issues with it.

Agree. It’s better but still not good. Still a bit harsh on the eyes. Don’t know what they thought was wrong with the original blue. In my screenshot here you can see the original blue in the top left hand corner. So much better.

While I’m here, what about the pink colour for things like polls? Any chance of something less hideous? I don’t remember the previous colour but I’m sure it wasn’t this.

I hadn't realised that the settings options had been changed. So I've now removed the flags and I've chosen the original colours. That has made a tremendous difference for me and I don't feel quite so disturbed by the recent changes.

But I'm still very concerned about the way they have hidden the report button and the motive for making reporting posts more difficult.

Pleased they've enabled people to change post colours and remove the pointless labels, but I'm still having to turn the brightness down on my phone to use the site. That can't be right surely? To have the brightness this low.

Yes still too bright and I hate the colour of polls. Why do they never ask or opinion before making changes?

All I want is for the OP's posts to stand out from the background.

No matter which colour I choose, it just blends into the background.

@NapoleonsToe snap - the new colour scheme is like having my screen brightness up on full blast and my blue light filter turned off. I can only use the site with it turned right down to the dingiest setting; it's grim and is giving me eye strain.

🙄 They will have done extensive user testing. Most people must be fine with the new colours or they wouldn't have changed them.

Can someone tell me how to change back to the original colours? That blue is just horrific. It's really bad on the Settings pages so I can't even spend too long trying to find it!

Unfortunately the bright blue can’t be changed.

Does anyone know how colours can cause such awful headaches so quickly? It's never happened to me before. It's horrific!

Same for me, I’ve never had a headache from the colour on my phone before! At least it’s helping reduce my “MN” addiction!

I switched to dark mode and it’s really helped.

I like the new colours.

Have you tried since they've updated the options. I'm finding classic green (op) & classic purple (me) not too bad.
