Why are posts deleted for breaking talk guidelines but then the poster is not informed?

I see it all the time on here. People saying nasty horrible things, their posts get deleted for breaking talk guidelines but they are not told their posts are deleted so they carry on.

Hi OP, thanks for asking about this. We don't inform people every time we delete a post, but if they've had several deletions on the same thread or within a short space of time we'll definitely get in touch to remind them of our Talk Guidelines. We'll also temporarily suspend people if their posts are derailing a thread.

If you have any concerns about a specific poster please hit the report button on one of their posts and provide any details that may be useful - we're always happy to take a closer look and will take any necessary action.
