Jet2 ad constantly popping up

There's an advert for Jet2 that constantly pops up when I'm on Active Threads. I can close it but it pops back up again after a few seconds even if I haven't refreshed the page.

It covers the navigation bar at the bottom - sometimes takes up about half the screen but sometimes when it pops back up only the top of the ad shows.

I'm using the mobile app via Samsung Internet on Android.

Its been that annoying to the point where I never want to use Jet2 as I'm sick of the sight of it.

Yes came here to talk about the same thing, it’s preventing me from navigating the site. iPhone 13 on the latest version of iOS, using Chrome.

I still have that situation that’s been going on for months where I get thrown back up to the top of threads randomly, and also large expanses of white. Anyone else get that?

Also - annoying ads make me purposely AVOID using the companies. So it’s anti-advertising

It's popping up over half the screen, and the nav bar, for me too (firefox mobile site).

I've persevered through the lagging and freezing for what seems like a year but I don't have the energy to be playing whack-a-mole with popups.

Android here, and yes, it's bloody annoying. I'm already on holiday, I'm not likely to be booking another. And it's disturbing my Mumsnet ting round the pool!

I've just searched for this thread because it's pissing me off as well.

I already struggle with typing, I don't need a massive box jumping into the screen when I'm trying to navigate.

I came on to see if anyone else had posted about this as I am having the same issues. Also android.

There will be a mumsnet message here on Monday about how they’re very sorry but it isn’t actually mumsnets fault because advertising blah blah. And they’ll ask everyone how they’re accessing mumsnet, as if that will somehow make it better.

this is pissing me off as well. Doesn’t matter how many times I minimise it, it keeps coming back.

Lol, I was just about to post a bit of a sulk about this before I gave up for the day but everyone beat me to it. In short, it's crap, please make it stop. I'll try again another day but for now it's just not worth the hassle.

I’ve been getting it on Chrome with my iPhone 13 mini too. Really irritating and mainly makes me want to tell jet2 to fuck off so it’s pretty counterproductive.

I would guess that almost all the clicks it gets will be accidental ones from people who were trying to close it.

Are mumsnet going to comment?

It is driving me mad too. Don’t mind an ad but not one that makes the site completely unusable

Absolutely infuriating. I’ve no objection to ads but this is making the site unusable. If it’s not fixed soon I’ll be deleting my account.
