Is there an option to find your own posts easily on a thread?

I go to theads I'm on but my last post might be from the day before pages back.

I want to take something I've said from one of my posts and I'm trawling a whole days and pages of posts to find my posts.

Is there a 'find my own posts' button that I'm missing?

I don't think so unless there's a premium feature?

LoveThatDog · 08/01/2025 22:16

You can only filter all the OPs posts on a thread unless you pay for premium.

You can advance search your own username, including a lesser used word that you used and put search dates in to narrow it down.

What? You can see all OP posts without premium.

GooseberryBeret · 08/01/2025 22:25

You used to be able to set preferences so that your posts came up in a different colour but I’m not sure you can do that any more.

You can, I can see my own in a purply colour right now.

Yes, just click ‘see all’ on one of the OPs posts, on the website that is. Not sure about the app as I don’t use it.

Not true, this feature is available to all but I'm not sure you can do it if you use the app?

It is true. I can only filter all the OPs posts and mumsnet said if I want to be able to do that for other posters, I need to pay for premium.

And I’ve just checked by clicking ‘see all by twattymcfuckface’ and a box pops up with ‘this is a premonition feature’ and the option to join premium.

MadBlack · 08/01/2025 22:35

You can highlight your own posts in a colour of your choosing, and also change your settings to see all the thread on one page. So you just scroll for your colour to see your own posts.
I'll caveat that with i dont use the app, and it might well be different

I think I understand what you mean now - you can see all posts by an OP on a single thread, but you can't see all the posts an OP has made on the site as a whole without premium. Is that what you mean?

Enough4me · 08/01/2025 22:40

Try to remember the time as you log off, then you can move back pages and scroll to right time.

this is a premonition feature’

Fully aware it's an autocorrect error but I do like it 😂

YampyYamYam · 08/01/2025 22:43

Use "find in page" or whatever your chosen browser calls that feature. Then search your username on the page and it'll find all your posts.

Also highlight your posts in a nice colour via your talk settings. That helps too.

Yes, on a thread, you can filter all OPs posts on that particular thread by clicking ‘see all’ but you can’t filter all posts by any other poster on that thread without paying for premium. 😅

You can see all of any posters posts by using advanced search.

CurrentHun · 08/01/2025 22:45

I would like to have this feature because when I last posted is often when I last read that thread. So I want to pick up where I left off starting from my own posts.

LoveThatDog · 08/01/2025 22:45

Premonition feature....🤣 I’m so tired I didn’t even notice.

The bookmark feature could help with that maybe?

RampantIvy · 08/01/2025 22:46

On my laptop I do ctrl f to find my posts or any post I want.

Is that a Viz top tip? Or, click on bookmark

Apart from highlighting your posts in a different colour, you can also use the bookmark button on the bottom of the last post you read. Then the last message you read will pop up next time you click on the thread.

Sorry, I completely misread your post despite quoting it 🤦‍♀️

You're quite right. I thought you were saying you couldn't filter the OP's posts Blush

No worries. I managed to describe premium feature as premonition feature. 🤣

EmeraldRoulette · 08/01/2025 23:00

I'd pay for a premonition feature 😂
