problems typing in pm mode

Is anyone else having problems replying to a PM? i cant seem to type more than one word. Cursor jumping and dissapearing all over the place. This has been going on for weeks now. Perfectly fine typing anywhere else on MN just when it's pming.

I'm hesitating whether this should go in a tech thread, but, how do you copy a comment for the top of your post and grey the text? I've tried everything I can think of, searched the site....it's driving me mad!

You just need to hit the Quote button - it's beneath the post if you're using the desktop or mobile site. If you're on the app you'll see there's an arrow to the right of a poster's username (like this <) If you swipe to the left you'll see the Quote option. It will then quote the post and you can add your response in the text box.

We haven't had any luck replicating this. Can you please send a screen recording over to contactus@mumsnet.com and can you also try another browser? It would be helpful to know if it's isolated or across different browsers.

Hi again @LadeOde we're sorry that we haven't yet been able to fix this issue but we're a bit flummoxed by it.

Have you been able to try switching to a different device or browser - it would help for us to know if this is unique to Microsoft Edge.
