Amazon Ad's

Every time I'm scrolling on a thread with an Amazon ad, it clicks through to Amazon with the slightest of touches. It's happening constantly and making Mumsnet unusable. I already have Amazon so is bloody pointless anyway.

Sounds like hopefully it's fixed. If anyone else has cleared their cookies and still are having this problem, please let us know.

Super sensitive Amazon ad links are back. Happened yesterday and this morning. Thanks

Dilbertian · 08/10/2024 10:50

Came back to post the same.

Not had a problem with them since the summer. Last 24h: the over-sensitive response is back with an annoying vengeance.

LilyMumsnet · 08/10/2024 15:37

Thanks for letting us know - we're looking into it now.

HebeMumsnet · 09/10/2024 10:12

Hi there @PJ04JCW and others. We've made a change that we hope might have sorted the issue. Could you let us know if you're still having this problem now? Thank you!

PJ04JCW · 30/12/2024 15:46

Hiya
Booking dot com adverts are now super sensitive...
Thanks!

PJ04JCW · 03/01/2025 13:57

Hiya
Posting again for traffic!

AlexandrinaH · 03/01/2025 14:03

This only happens to me on the app.

JoMumsnet · 03/01/2025 14:50

Thanks for letting us know about the booking.com ads, @PJ04JCW - we're taking a look now.

DuffRose · 03/01/2025 22:05

Yep now it's the booking.com ads that are sensitive

This has just been happening to me except it's to booking . com and I can't even see an ad for it
Why is this happening

TeeBee · 08/01/2025 05:15

Thanks for flagging the Booking.com ads. It's driving me nuts! Hope it's easily rectifiable.

HebeMumsnet · 08/01/2025 09:49

Thanks for the info everyone. If anyone is able to get a screenshot of the ad next time it appears and post it here, that would be really helpful. Thanks!

SnowFrogJelly · 08/01/2025 22:25

I don't have a screenshot but it's a booking.com ad can something be done about this please

@HebeMumsnet I was looking to see if anyone had mentioned the Booking . Com one yet and found it mentioned here. Here's a screenshot Hebe, it opens a link at the lightest slightest touch. Very annoying.

Just get an ad blocker. I haven't seen ads on this site for years.

Ads drive me insane.

Had a trial 5 yrs ago for an adblocker- paid for it.

Peace at last.

Difficult to do with the first time you notice it is when the ad is triggered by you swiping the screen. It triggers so quickly that I don't even see it while swiping the screen up!
