Thread text not showing in app, but does on website

Just noticed something. I occasionally use the < > symbols as a sort of emote. E.g. my dry washing just got all rained on <grumbles>
It's a hangover from a previous community where this was the norm.

I did this yesterday, but just noticed that the text inside the < > only shows when using the website and not when using the android app. I don't know if this is a bug or something else but thought I would let you know in case it's something that needs fixing. Here is the example post where I noticed it. The last sentence inside the < > only shows up on the website version.

Hi OP,

Thanks for raising this - we're taking a look into it now.

Can we just check what version of the app you're running? It could be worth trying an uninstall/reinstall just to clear the cache and ensure you're running the latest version.

We're in the process of rebuilding the app so if there's a wider issue here, it will likely be resolved during the revamp.
