Giving thanks !

Hello , this may be a stupid question but ..... what is the purpose of giving thanks?
I've had quite a few on some of my posts ( which seems nice!)
But I'm not really sure what it's all about!

Hi OP

We thought that it would be nice for users to have the ability to thank each other for helpful or generous posts. Hidden Gratitude is a quick and easy way to show appreciation - and that's the point of it!

Hi @diddl

It sounds like these might be turned off for you. If you head to https://www.mumsnet.com/settings/notifications and click 'web notifications', you'll be able to to turn them on. The option is 'Notify me when others have thanked my posts'.
