"Edited" thingy and other edit related things

Could you possibly move the "Edited" thingy to somewhere else other than the end of the post I've edited? It's irritating the hell out of me!

Great function - but sometimes I can edit more than once, other times not. Can you explain?

When I'm editing, I sometimes want to add a tag to another poster, but because when I'm editing, I can't see the thread itself, I sometimes don't know who they are. Being able to select them from the drop-down is a brilliant addition, though

Hi there @SequentialAnalyst . Thank you for the feedback on all of this.

Regarding the placement of the 'edited' sign, we made the decision about the current placement based on a number of factors including user feedback. So for now we won't be making any changes, but we will continue to read and discuss the feedback as it comes in.

Equally, at the moment there's no way to close down the editor and look at the thread but it's something we can look into for the future if lots of users feel it might be useful.

Just to clarify, in case it helps, here's how the edit function works:

User posts
User is given a 5 minute window to edit the post. It is possible to edit more than once in that time period.
After that 5 minute window is over the button is no longer available
When a user clicks in to the see the edit they will see the original post at the bottom and each version of the post above with the most recent changes at the top.
