how do I link to a specific post within a thread, not just the whole thread?

I don't get what stealth was on about but:

Do a search for the thread or use the 'threads I'm on' so you have the thread in list format. Don't actually go onto the thread.

From list format when you click on someone's name it takes you to that post right? So instead of using a left click and entering the thread, right click and select 'copy link location'. This is the bit that you will then paste into your blah blah link

When I right click on the name I get open in new window, open in new tab, bookmark, save link, send link, copy link location, properties, send to, page info.

What broswer are you using? It is browser specific.

Underrated.

Go to a list of posts (e.g. search results or "threads I am on") - not a thread of posts.

Click on a posters name in the list (not on a thread). Use teh URL as the link. OR right click and select copy shortcut.

when i go to threads i am on i see the title then the names of the posters

i clicked and did copy shortcut but that copies the whole link?

You have done it. You just linked to my 20:09 post.

Click on a specific post further down the thread. It should bring up the whole thread but immediately after the thread has loaded the page should jump down to the post you have linked.
