how do I link to a specific post within a thread, not just the whole thread?

Don't particularly want to do it, but I've noticed that other people can...

Right you need to use the search function (or threads you are on) to find the post - not just view it on a thread.

It you click on teh posters name of hte relevant post the URL you go to will link directly to teh post of that poster.

You could also right click the post in teh search results and select "copy URL to clipboard" or some simialr comand.

Think yourslef lucky. When I asked LL this Q she teased me for hrs before telling me.

The right click comand is "copy shortcut"
