This is the site stuff thread that I came to to find out if there is any way to get away from this Victorian Plumbing ad 😂. I don’t need a basin waste, honestly

This is my iPhone. The Ad isn’t even all on page but it’s really invasive. It doesn’t scroll up with the page it just stays there! Awful!!

It is making the site unusable

When i try to write a reply i cant see what I am writing, the ad takes up half the page and the keyboard the rest. Very annoying!!

It’s loads of different ads and loads of different pages. We’d be posting screenshots all day.

Safari on iPad and Chrome on Android phone. Worse on phone because the ad covers up more of the page.
There’s just SO MUCH advertising on MN. We all understand that you need to run ads, but the site now feels like relentless pages of ads with the actual content in between squeezed out.
The ones with video or animation are even worse than the static ads.

I'm used to big ads but you can usually scroll past them. This just takes up one third to half the screen and means you can't see a whole post at once.

Hopefully Mumsnet’s IT intern might be in tomorrow and they can task them with sorting out this shite.

Also constantly refreshing and losing place.
Is there any chance of things getting better? The usability of the site seems to be rapidly deteriorating, sadly.

Hello, everyone. This should now be fixed. Of course, if you do see it again, please do let us know immediately (if you could tell us what device you are on and the url of the page it's happening on, that would be really useful) but hopefully it's sorted now.

I see this every day, all the time. I really object to having adult advertising pushed onto me on a fundamentally non-adult/porn/sexual site.

If you want this sort of advertising, please could you either keep it on the sex topic or introduce a 'don't want to see this' mechanism.

I don't need to see this every day. To say I'm offended is over stating it but I'm on the lower end of the cross between that and enormously irritated.

I don't want to see adult content advertising unless I am choosing to.

I just tried out the site on my iPhone but it’s not working for me again - can’t scroll past a particularly intrusive advert.

I have an adblocker running so I don't see this stuff, just blank spaces. All these screenshots remind of Blade Runner where every surface and every space was an advert opportunity.
